    Totally possible.

Here's the scenario: Andy Ruiz wins his rematch with Anthony Joshua in similar fashion (by stoppage). Luis Ortiz wins his rematch with Wilder via stoppage (Ortiz hurts Wilder on the ropes, the fight is stopped).

Wilder suffers the third broken hand in his pro career during the fight requiring surgery, so he can't have a contracted rubber match with Ortiz right away. Joshua is off deciding whether his career is over or if he wants to become the next David Price.

Andy Ruiz has the WBA, IBF and WBO belts.

Luis Ortiz has the WBC belt.

Al Haymon wants to put them together (he advises both). The fighters want it. The orgs want it. Eddie Hearn still wants to make a splash in the U.S. (and Joshua is out of the UK stadium business), so he goes along and serves as co-promoter.

The bout is held at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, in Arlington, Texas, on the Saturday after Cinco De Mayo.

Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury are sitting at ringside. Wilder is hoping Ortiz wins because he has an existing contract to fight the Ortiz again (and this time it'll be for all the belts). Fury is hoping Ruiz wins, because Ruiz has already agreed to fight his WBO mandatory (Fury) next.

The first Cuban to win a heavyweight title. The first man of Mexican heritage to win a heavyweight title. All the heavyweight belts on the line.

Andy Ruiz vs. Luis Ortiz ... Who wins? How does the fight play out? Who challenges the winner?

Hey, in 1995, when Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield, Riddick Bowe, Lennox Lewis, Tommy Morrison, Ray Mercer, Michael Moorer, George Foreman ... were all active ... there was a moment in time when the heavyweight champions were Frank Bruno, Bruce Seldon and Frans Botha.

And the 1990s heavyweight division is considered one of the better times in heavyweight history.

So don't think it can't happen again.

    Play it out.

Who wins? How does the fight unfold?

Andy beats ortiz. Too fast, powerful, good of a boxer, more stamina, and takes a better punch. More exciting and tougher fight then the Joshua rematch though.

Ruiz certainly has faster hands. I think Ortiz hits harder. Both of their chins are excellent.

What a strange man you are to have such a fantasy - and in the 90s those guys you mentioned being the 'oddball champions' of that era on the whole either held the lesser WBO belt or picked up vacant straps coming from stripping. It's not like Bowe and Lewis got upset at the same time and lost their titles to Bentt and Tommy Morrison is it?

Are we suppose to the saying who wins?

Ortiz is shot to bits and tbh we have no idea how good he ever was because he didn't really fight anybody..

Ruiz will make Ortiz gas like Wilder did and either get a late stoppage or a win UD...

Misleading thread title? Did you think Luis Ortiz had the WBC belt? Give me a break.

Fantasy? Ruiz already has three belts (LOL) And Wilder was hurt badly by Ortiz in fight one. And Wilder is prone to injuring himself.

We're one jumpy referee (with Wilder hurt on the ropes) away from Ortiz-Ruiz,

Hell, there's more of a chance today of seeing Ortiz-Ruiz than we are Wilder-Joshua, friend.

And are you saying Lewis didn't get upset by McCall (who lost to Bruno)? And Moorer didn't get upset by 45-year-old George Foreman (who appeared to lose to Axel Shulz, leading to him losing that belt)?

Bowe lost his title in the ring. Evander lost his title in the ring. Lewis lost his title in the ring. Moorer lost his title in the ring. None of them were stripped.

I'll say this first which is maybe besides the point of the thread. I think Joshua wins the rematch and I think Wilder keeps his belt.

Now.. for the purpose of this thread I'd pick Luis Ortiz to beat Ruiz due to boxing skills alone.
