Enzo to beat Haye, I thought I was clever, whilst all my super casual friends were looking at Haye’s Muscles I was saying Enzo had big chance. Little did I realise I was the stupid one as Enzo hadn’t stopped anyone of note.

Degale against Eubank. I was hoping he wasn’t as totally shot as he was.

I was surprised McGregor lasted past four, to be honest.

Honestly the amount of idiots who knew nothing about either sport saying they’d put £50or £100 on McGregor was unbelievable.

Just goes to show the power of hype on casual supporters of any sport.

Imagine how bummed they must have been after the first few rounds (hell, before that).

Another one just popped up in my head.. I thought Rigo and Loma would stylistically and technically be an unbelievable fight. Rigo really fuucked that one for me.

Still not as bad as choosing McGregor (mma fighter) to KO/TKO a defensive all time great in a boxing match though. That makes my head hurt.

Lewis Ritson- saw him knocking over lads at British level in a round or two and thought he could go far. Totally ignoring the fact he couldn’t box.

Thought Pricey was the real deal - 6'8, sledgehammer right hand, good jab and decent skills, little did we know he had no chin and gassed after 4 rounds

    Convinced Haye would flatten Bellew

AJ - Ruiz - No explanation needed

Retro pick : Hamed would TKO Barrera, I despised Naz but thought he was too fast and powerful for Barrera who while he was one of my favourites was easy to hit and had been KO'ed badly by Junior Jones

Do not think you were alone there. I did back Eubank both times, fight one because I was still smugly living off of picking Watson to beat Benn, so I always had to go against Benn (DeWitt/Barkley hell I thought Sims might do him!)

Enzo to beat Haye? That is a shocker mate, but we’ve all said them. I picked Jorge Paiz to beat an upcoming de la Hoya when I first started following boxing. He got splattered in two blood thirsty rounds. I also picked Ruelas to beat him. Another 2 round beatdown.
