No VADA testing means they both will be juiced atleast according to Paranoid Android. I hope they continue to make Pac the favorite it will be easy money at the books if they do. Pac isn't fighting a shot Lucas or checked out Broner he's fighting Thurman who if he shows up like he was before he went inactive will beat Pac going away. Thurman has a good ring IQ respectable power can counter and will use movement, he could end up giving a Pac a boxing lesson.
Will be a competitive fight but I don't see Thurman outboxing Pac thoroughly, who is a really skilled boxer himself. I think you're underselling Pac's boxing ability pretty short. Pac, even at this age, has the ring IQ, experience, and power to give Thurman a long night as well. We'll see how it goes.
I agree that Pac has underrated boxing ability but has always been bothered by movement especially when it's some one who's athletic as Thurman.
Pac can be bothered by movement but he still finds a way to win even when he's chasing them regardless. What other boxers have really outboxed him convincingly besides Morales, JMM, and Mayweather, who are 3 ATG fighters? Thurman is a good fighter but he's not on the level of those 3. Mayweather is really the only one who primarily used movement to win against Manny while JMM and Morales had to fight their way and use boxing ability to beat him.
JMM used educated footwork to beat Pac by taking small steps. Thurman uses alot of movement and he does have a high ring IQ I think he will cause him trouble with it. With that said I would use movement but also look to rough up and bully Pac on the inside since he's the smaller man and can't fight on the inside. I think Thurman is thinking about doing that since he did reference the Horn fight.
JMM used great simple footwork that helped set up his counter attacks but also had to take punishment in the process. It's not gonna be easy just by using movement. I agree that Thurman's best chance is to try and use the Horn tactic but Pac is also a great counter puncher himself and will be taking shots in return which will be a risk. IMO Thurman HAS to fight Pac to win since he's not a defense wizard by any means. He's gonna have to grit his teeth and prepare for war much like his fight against Porter. If Porter gave Thurman a lot of trouble with his onslaught then I can see Pac doing the same as well while also using his boxing skills.
Thurman is easy to hit and gets tagged flush by slow dudes. Pacquiao should tee off on him if Thurman isn't in full retreat mode. And Pacquiao has hurt way more durable dudes. I wouldn't be shocked if Pacquiao stops him.
On the record saying pac wins and Thurman retires. Also predicted Thurman will never face Spence or Crawford.

Pains me to say it but I predict this is the last high-level fight will see from the old lion because he is going to get old overnight in this fight. Hope I’m wrong
Very hard to pick a winner in this one, but i pray, and think Manny has the slight edge. Thurman was a shell of his former self in his last fight. He is going to need more than that to beat an ageing Manny. Really exciting fight though. I was very happy when it got announced.
