Larry’s issue was he became very smug later in his career which caused many to not like him. If he just relaxed and did not walk around with a chip on his shoulder he would have been more respected in his day.

Nobody here needs to defend Larry, his achievements speak for themselves.

    I'll respect your opinion.

Are you insinuating Joshua was better than ANYONE Holmes defeated? If so your seriously wrong, and is giving Joshua much more credit than he deserves.... He pretty much quit in the fight with Ruiz, and really wasn't anything special prior to that fight . Just a well promoted and protected body builder trying to be a boxer .

Every single punch Holmes threw would land perfectly square on their unprotected jaws, and every single punch those nothing scrubs threw would hit nothing but air. Holmes goes thru all four without being hit.

But that's the deal with the modernists, they hype up the AJ's, Wilders, etc .. and when a butterbean jr comes along and beats an AJ … well Ruiz is their new guy now , instead of saying well you know what maybe these guys aren't really that great … that is why a resume and competition and when they fight is everything in boxing …. not just 1 fight between the top 3 guys in years

John T... Very true. It would be almost comical to watch. Holmes could win every round just utilizing his jab.

To be honest with you, their last hope fell, when Joshua hit the canvas!

He was the only one of the three who would fight somebody with a pulse, unless they were a mandatory, or a belt holder!

The rest of them are cautious for a reason!

Now Holmes was not the boldest himself, but he would put a clinic on whichever of them was at the top, and then hold his status at the top.

The others could either go after him, or pick an alphabet belt, and pretend that they weer the champion.

The one who would be most likely to force a fight with him is Fury!

Absolutely. And I’m loving how almost none of you will speak on singular Holmes wins but are quick to broadstroke the greatness of his resume.

I thought you were the guy who imploded because a short heavyweight came along and packed on pounds to take down the big man instead of looking like Dempsey.

I just watched the vid Holmes top 5 notable wins and he was far too easy to hit in those fights.

Silly. AJ can’t take a punch and is an unproven hwt. Looking up to him as anything else as a second rater is hero worship at best. Can’t everyone see these four can’t fight a lick? They are the product of a warped watered down heavyweight landscape where most everyone is a contender and it’s easy to be champion.

You would benefit from taking that very same path i think.

You could also learn how to use the quote function, instead of appearing to be having conversations with yourself.

4·0. Fury points in chess match.Ruiz late stoppage after a gutsy performance Wilder late stoppage after hurting or maybe dropping Larry in a war AJ gets taken apart in a similar manner to Lacy v calz .
