Manny being 40 is a Bridge to far I think...Prime Pac now that would be a completely different story..
Thurman's physical prime was before Danny Garcia. Too many injuries and he fell in love. He has zero passion if you read between the lines. That said, he is still a very good undefeated fighter who is much younger than Pacquiao. Pacquiao got bossed around by Jeff Horn of all people and that was two years ago. I do fancy it a close fight and have battled a bit with whom to pick as the victor. I'll lean Thurman. I think he can fight smart. Keep it on the outside then pick your spot once a round to dig and bully on the inside.
Bossed around would be if Horn pushed Pac back, leaned in low with a tight guard, and fought inside with success. Shoving, fouling, headbutting, arm-barring, and headlocking is not bossing. It means the ref allowed Horn to foul all night long.
No, he was shoving, fouling, headbutting, arm-barring, and headlocking. One of the most foul-filled fights ever. Don't let hate cloud your judgement.
He outpunched and outlanded Pac on the inside, severely. He won his rounds wide, Pac edged his close. Given their rank and pedigree going in, saying it was a "bossing" is totally appropriate. It is appropriate even in a vacuum. Pac has no inside game and if his literal hop-back-and-hook isn't working, he can't fight going backward well either. So he stood there flat footed and got tangled up with him repeatedly because he wasn't doing anything at those moments when Horn was in close.
This content is protected Margarito bossed Pacquiao against the ropes. No holding and punching, no arm-barring, no shoving, no fouling. Horn was allowed by the ref to foul as he pleased. Come on, son.
Oh you don't need to repost highlight clips for me, I've watched it entirely, live and a rewatch. Don't get all sad that Pacquiao lost to Horn when he was like 37/38 years old. His manhood isn't in question. Slow your breathing, son.
I don't give Thurman much of a chance here at all. Even this version of Pacquiao is levels above anyone on Thurman's resume and Thurman struggled with a shopworn Garcia prior to Thurman's layoff. Thurman has average talent and ring IQ, and is not a counter puncher. His footwork is average and so I believe Pacquiao will still be able to cause Thurman more problems than he has ever had. Combine that with Thurman's suspect chin and I think Pac gets a stoppage. Just my opinion but that is how I see it. I don't believe any of this "extra motivation" crap, I just think Thurman is all wrong for Pac. I just don't think Thurman has enough heart to beat Pac.
You're a Pacquiao hater, so I get it. But don't deny that Horn was given a free pass to foul as often as he wanted to and fouled away all night he did. If you want to see bossing, and not fouling, watch the Margarito fight. He punished and hurt Pacquiao against the ropes without a single headlock, armbar, headbutt, or elbow.
This. Thurman was almost KO'd to the body by an old and shot Collazo. Shot Guerrero also made Thurman very uncomfortable. All prior to injuries. Also, I think you meant Pac is all wrong for Thurman.
I am thinking so. Pacquiao is past his prime while Thurman is 10 years younger than him. Besides, the latter is bigger than the former since he's a natural welterweight. If Pacquiao beat Thurman then it's gonna be another big upset in boxing sport.
Next time read my post so you don't have to repeat what I already said. But I wouldn't call it a big upset at all if Pac wins.
