I always thought he was pretty good and considered him a live dog in the division. I didn't expect him to beat any of the truly top guys but as it stands he holds the best win of recent years in the division. And it sure as Hell wasn't a fluke either, he won that fight comfortably.
It's not excuses it's true, Klitschko and Povetkin were old as ****, Parker was handicapped by the ref and whyte had one shoulder Facts bro Facts
Boxing fans are super fickle. Give a man a good, convincing win over a top fighter and suddenly he's beating Larry Holmes and Joe Louis in the same night. Let the same guy lose or look uninspiring against a mediocre opponent and he's "a bum" and "exposed". For myself I have to say Ruiz was a pleasant surprise, he's got heart and good hands and grit and he may go on to great things.Or, he might succumb to AJ in a rematch where Joshua does the smart thing and keeps him on the end of his jab instead of trying to slug with him. If Ruiz does lose, it doesn't make him any less of a fighter, nor does it make Joshua into Superman. We really need to look at fighter's careers and how they perform over time when rating them.
It's facts though bro don't cry to me because your superhero got exposed. First dude he fought who wasn't old of injured he got dropped 15 times and quit. His career is over, done.
I think he has the fastest hands in the division,i saw it for myself when he would outland Parker in exchanges who is also super quick for a big man. But anyone who fights tall, can move out of harms way beats him. Hes incapable of holding those belts for multiple defences imo.
Holy ****, you are the definition of the "worst boxing fan". Joshua is not my superhero. I have rooted against him on several occasions. I just find it funny how he gets 0 respect on this forum. And Ruiz was the first one? 5 bucks says had Ruiz lost it you would have said it was because of his **** conditioning. His short prep time... You are a **** of a fan and I don't get why you even watch boxing. Or do you only watch undefeated guys going at it?
I still think Fury's win over Wilder was better considering Fury could have eaten Ruiz for lunch at one stage..
I'm speaking from an 'official' win perspective. Even if I wasn't I think I'd put Ruiz's win just a little higher than Fury's, though both excellent wins in their own right
Joshua was/is a whole lot better than Wilder. And Ruiz's result was a whole lot more decisive than Fury's.
That night he was better. You don't know if he's better "at the moment". We know Ruiz is extremely lazy and undisciplined so it's hard to extrapolate his performance into the future.
As of right now, Ruiz is the champ. Joshua is the former champ. If Joshua was the champ, I'd say he was better than Ruiz but he's not. AJ will have his chance to prove he's the better man soon.
