Who has the better Chin, GGG or Canelo?

That's because ggg has never fought a big accurate puncher

That's because you've only seen two GGG fights.

 

While there's something to the argument that Golovkin is a bigger puncher than Canelo, and that Canelo withstood bombs, therefore his chin is ahead, I'll stick to my guns and say that GGG's chin is ahead.

Canelo got buzzed twice by Golovkin, and he's been hurt before at lighter weights. I've never seen Golovkin hurt, or even really bothered by flush shots he's taken before. Some guys he's fought say that he has a great poker face and maybe there's some truth to that. All I can say is Stevens landed some flush shots and GGG kept coming. Canelo landed his hail mary punch and similarly, nada. Given that Golovkin sparred with guys like Gassiev, I'd say that he's well used to big punchers.

That said, there's not a lot in it.

Canelo has impressed me a lot with his toughness, he took punches that would have levelled other guys for the count, and kept fighting.

Lemiuex. Stevens. Both can crack. If you say "accurate", there pro boxers, they can aim and hit.

It's not the age, but the wear and tear. If GGG keeps taking flush punches like he has in the past, his chin will certainly give up at some point.

But Canelo was able to take Golovkin's best shots without going down or being seriously hurt? Or do you think Cotto is a bigger puncher than Golovkin?
