I just saw a film study on Charlo and he has far less skill than Wilder has in his respective weight class, do fans think Charlo could have ever floored a middleweight with the defensive skills that Fury has at heavyweight?
You have to be kidding me? Charlo is a way better technical boxer than wilder. Wilder is a slugger and has one shot ko power but charlo is a boxer puncher.
Charlo has better skills just look at the Williams fight but remember the lower the weight the higher level of skill usually. Heavyweight is a unique division because one shot and anyone can go + rarely find slick operators, maybe the odd one like Fury but even then Wilder was getting schooled to an extent Charlo has never been.
First time I saw a Charlo fight in full last weekend and honestly I didn't think he looked too bad. Obviously people here were disappointed he couldn't put Adams away but aside from that , I thought Charlo put his shots together well. He's fast, has some good snap in his punches and seems to have a good variety of shots. He is a lot more skilled than Wilder in my opinion.
Jermall is much better boxer. Better footwork, more fluid puncher. Looks more like a boxer, Wilder looks mechanical while throwing the jab and moving, his footwork is horrendous! But it's not quite fair to compare HW with a guy at 160 anyway. He's not very good but he's solid, definitely Top 15 at 160. Time for him to step it up though. He arguably lost to Trout and Korobov so no idea how he deals with the elite. I would really like to see Jermall fighting Andrade. Both are great athletes, strong. I would like to see Andrade dealing with the pressure of a Jermall Charlo for 12 rounds.
I can't stand Charlo, I can't wait for him to lose by savage KO, I really like Wilder, and defend him in the face of mountains of criticism. In no way shape or form is Wilder more skilled than Charlo.
Charlo doesn`t set his punches up as well as Wilder does, Wilder has a better 1-2 and Charlo hasn`t fought anyone near Fury`s level at middleweight yet.
