Who is better equipped to be able to beat every middleweight in history head to head GGG or Canelo?

In terms of what they bring to the table skill and attribute wise which of them would be favoured in more head to head fantasy match ups with the best boxers throughout middleweight history. If your life depended on it and you had to pick one of them to get through the most fights against every top middleweight ever who would you pick?

GGG absolutely 0 debate here, he beat Canelo twice well past his prime, 30 year old GGG would give the best MWs ever hell and they would have to fight every seconds of the fight to win

    Canelo.

He has already beat every MW he has faced. Golovkin already lost to Canelo and arguably lost to Jacobs.

Canelo beat Jacobs more decisively too.

GGG should be 2-0 against Canelo. This is how 95% of people see it. GGG also beat a juiced-to-the-gills version. Many people had the Jacobs fight a draw. Marquez, your roided hero, had Jacobs winning!

Old GGG > Juiced Prime Canelo

Problem for me Can box they are both really good but out of the top 10 all time MW I don't think either one would be in top 3....or 4 come to that.

Just because they are legends doesn’t mean head to head they beat everybody after them for sure. GGG is an absolute nightmare for anybody in a direct fight and Canelo is exceptional too.

I think Golovkin will be more troublesome. Canelo has the speed and the combinations and the flashier defence. But Golovkin is sounder technically, works off of an ATG jab, has better two-handed power and better footwork. The difference between them is really the gas tank. GGG can fight all night long, Canelo not so much.

Let's also not forget that PEDed prime Canelo was fighting unroided Old Golovkin. :deal:

GGG is a Phenom, and right there with the greats.

    Physically gifted,
    Technically sound,
    Very high ring IQ,
    Killer instinct
    Good work ethic/consistent/hard working

Canelo is good, but not in the same bracket as GGG

Lol. This must be some joke? Peak James Toney and Mike McCallum would absolutely humiliate any middleweight today, including Canelo and Golovkin. Heck, Toney would probably beat both GGG and Canelo on the very same night by wide, Mayweather-esque margins.

James Toney is a significant upgrade from Canelo Alvarez in every way I can look. Both GGG and Canelo have become grossly overrated after their less than stellar and impressive bouts against each other.

This folks, is quite possibly the greatest boxing bout in history, from the perspective of technical skills, tactical skills and fundamentals:

One has to be a casual to not appreciate this fight!

Canelo, nor Golovkin hold a candle to real boxing masters like Toney and Mccallum.

Sure neither would beat everybody but the question was who had the better chance. Also GGG has never been dominated by anyone and has too much to his game to get shut out for 12 rounds without any success.

I wouldn't be surprised if Tony knocked out GGG or Canelo. Toney was vicious puncher at MW - Michale Nunn had really great chin, he was never stopped before or since in 62 bouts including lot of bouts on the highest level, and Toney knocked him out.

And Toney's KO of Charles Williams was one of the most beautiful one-punch knockouts of all time
