It's between you and him, John. I read both of what you guys write and usually find good things.

Watch his serious fetish for white European fighters, particularly in they have a bit of definition ;)

    Think both Klits and GGG.

So you keep saying.:nonono Others here can see how wrong you are and how petty you can be. :D

I must have corrected Mcvey over 100 times on this forum. The exchanges were mostly one sides beatdowns with Mcvey switching the topic then quoting some book that had nothing to do with the initial points. But I have moved on from him.

Now that he has retired posting under that name, someone, if they choose, can follow you around. You might pass the mark faster than he did!

To give the facts to whomever is reading, which is something you are not good at, Mcvey did not give me his email when I asked and disappeared for the forum for three months up to my departure and visit. I called him out. Nothing. When I did not log on for a while, he assumed I was out of the country, and suddenly came back to posting. All of the above is 100% fact.

He said he was a former boxer and was under 70. When I asked where he was for those three months, he said he had a surgery, but never disclosed what it was. The BS piled up very high.

It would have been a lot of fun for me, or over for him in 20 seconds. That would depend on his manner. I told him to pick a ring, he never did, and it had to be a ring as legal battery is allowed in there.

Later McVey disclosed he wanted to meet me at the airport, the one place I said no way to 100X, and when I asked why he said his son in law works security there. Oh, now I see why. He was a sackless coward and had something else in mind for me. So now you know the facts.

Hey Houdini, can you do the board a favor and make John disappear? You won't have to crack a sweat to make him look foolish, he's not very factual. You'll know you have him when he threatens to put you on ignore but never does. :)

Yes, the top of the heavyweight division is weak, and those who felt Joshua was packing some glass were correct. The guy rule bends and fights a bit dirty too. Fury of course was busted on PED's. How long he got away it is unknown.

Yeah sure that's how it went down LOL

You've been exposed literally hundreds of times in here on honesty and integrity and i'll happily palate McVey's side given he is an honest up front stand up type dude who has no trouble admitting when he is wrong. Anyone who has been here any length of time knows what you are about ;)

It's just my honest take and obviously won't be overly popular in our forum. Seems like common sense to me. It's not a crime that someone might struggle somewhere via getting past the best 4 heavyweights of an era.

I like the thinking of both of you, gives a wider spectrum of opinion.

Sure, Larry usually did get more of a fight from his defenses than ringside scribes liked (it's strange, they underestimated him as ATG, but totally overestimated him against some of his toughest opponents CATCH-22!)

For Larry to have no trouble at all it would have to be cannon fodder like Marvis Frazier, Scott Frank...obvious work-outs.

I would postulate that the recent champions are better than those last two so yeah Larry would have to work (and probably get off the floor against one or two).

And this is it. He may even get past one or two or potentially even threewithout much drama at all - very plausible and far from impossible. On the balance of things a couple would be awkward tho.

At his best none of the fighters in question get around Holmes jab. He would sit down on it and bust them all up. As mentioned it’s always possible a right hand clips Holmes and he goes down but he showed time and time again he had the guts to get up and win. This was why he remained undefeated until age caught up to him vs Spinks. Did he have tough bouts? Sure. But it’s only through tough bouts that a fighters intrinsic qualities are exhibited. Holmes passed these tests in spades.

Whenever I have doubts about Larry as a great I just watch the Ali, Shavers I and II, or Berbick fights. Almost entirely dominant. I know Ali wasn't even at 75% of his powers, but the way Holmes handled him is very representive of Larry's peak imo.

After having read some negative things about him on another forum I simply watched the 9th round of the Witherspoon fight and was once again affirmed.

Its painfully obvious you are not only sadly mistaken on boxing, but you also have not one thread of proof about anything false I said. Keep in mind an opinion such as Greg Page was overrated is not a lie; it's an opinion. I think you're just out of ammo miss smelling McVey's rear end. Might I suggest finding a new hooligan partner?

Larry Holmes can't shut fighters out you say? If you had integrity, you'd take that statement back because it's wrong and to repeat something wrong as fact is a form of lying.:nonono
