How do these fights play out? Imo, Gvozdyk outboxes him, but he could get clipped and stopped, dude's chin is suspect. Same as Beterbiev, I don't see Zurdo winning without a knockout, and Beterbiev is definitely vulnerable. Karpency was on the recording saying Zurdo and Gvozdyk are on the same level, but I don't see it. Zurdo and Gvozdyk are both drastically better than Karpency, so it was probably hard for him to tell the difference. Anyways, major props to Zurdo for wanting to take these challenges on.

The thing is Zurdo's power is questionable, and not tested at this weight, I think he loses to both guys.

Agree with you though, it's about time he did something to try and stand out.

He looked like a monster at 175, Karpency isn't elite but he's not a bum either. He can definitely hurt Gvozdyk, dudes chin is super suspect. But I think Gvozdyk will just too skilled for him. If he actually goes through with these fights, holy **** I'd respect the hell out of him, going from Hart to P4P caliber talent is a huge jump.

You are the first, only, and last person to call Zurdo a monster.

Gvozdyk took flush bombs from Stevenson, his chin IS NOT suspect. As far as Beterbiev having a glass jaw, Callum Johnson would decapitate Zurdo. In closing, Zurdo really must want to lose his 0 the quickest way possible, he has nothing for either of them, they both KO him in 7.

I used to think Gvozdyk had a suspect chin til he fought Stevenson.

I'm fine with a Gvozdyk vs. Ramirez fight. It hurts me to see Gvozdyk spending his prime years just waiting (for something). Gvozdyk should have been fighting three, four times a year. And he will be lucky to have two now...

Stevenson was 40+ looked like utter dog **** against Jack the previous fight, I had Jack winning that fight, and basically is a 6 round fighter. He didn't land anything fo note till late in the fight where he badly hurt Gvozdyk when he was absolutely exhausted. Dude's chin is suspect.

He didn't really get hit with anything huge till Stevenson was completely depleted and out of stamina. We all know Stevenson at 40+ was a 6 round fighter. Gvozdyk's chin isn't Amir Khan glass, but he doesn't have a good chin. Kovalev and Beterbiev would be a nightmare style for him due to their brutal strength, while Bivol would be his best match up. I see Beterbiev crushing Gvozdyk, flooring him 2-3 times before he's stopped. Kovalev is kinda old and shot, and I don't think his power is the same so I think Gvozdyk would take it. Johnson would also be a scary fight to watch for Gvozdyk fan, but Gvozdyk has good footwork and defense, so it's more likely Gvozdyk outboxes him.

Go back and watch the first two rounds, the most vicious shots Stevenson lands on Gvozdyk occurred early in the fight, and trust me I've seen it several times.:D Gvozdyk hadn't got his rhythm down and was very defensively open early, he got nailed to the few clean straight lefts, he took them remarkably well. His chin is fine. And he'll smoke Beterbiev in two rounds, he's way too open early, and I'm sure if I've seen it, Gvozdyk has too. I agree on the Callum Johnson thing though.

Jack also took Stevenson's punches though. Are we saying Jack's chin is good? Stevenson wasn't the same puncher he was during the Dawson days. I'll re-watch the fight though, my instincts and my eye-test just tell me he has a suspect chin. His chin isn't as bad as Joshua or Groves, but when he fights I get the same nervous feeling if that makes sense.

Adonis was about as well preserved a 41 y/o fighter as you'll ever come across. He had a short amateur career (38 fights), 31 fights as a pro, so that's only 69 fights in total, and he fought poor opposition for the most part and had hardly been involved in any wars and he was unquestionably one of the sports premier KO artists at the time and arguably #1 when it comes to single shot power.

Callum Johnson has got seriously heavy hands and he's easily a top 5 puncher in the LHW division (top 3 IMO), a division which can boast a number of the hardest hitters in the sport at any weight.

Career SMW Zurdo weighed 195lbs for his last fight, 195lbs is the heaviest recorded ring weight I've ever heard of. Hell, even huge LHWs like Marcus ''Weird Ears'' Browne weigh less than that, let alone the likes of Gvozdyk, Kovalev, and Beterbiev all of whom are career LHWs.

Barely, he was hurt far more than Gvozdyk ever was. But yeah, I would say Jack has a better than advertised chin. The Edwards KO was clearly just a fluke, otherwise he wouldn't have been able to take clean shots off of guys like Groves, Bute, Browne, DeGale or Drrell, none of them are savage KO artists, but they aren't what I'd call featherfists either. As far as the nerves go, yeah he looks nervous, but it doesn't take a toll on him physically, he had to be nervous against Stevenson, but he was still fresh enough to throw and land probably in the vicinity of 60 or 70 punches in the 11th round. His stamina is unaffected.
