Rumoured to be 7th September at the Hydro in Glasgow!

good fight, can only see Linares winning easily on points but would be good to see a decent undercard

Be interested to see Linares after that Cano fight. Looked like they pulled a man off the street and put him in there.

    One sided beat down.

Linares picks what’s left of Burns apart within 7.

Skippy Burns skipping away from action for 12 rounds or shorter if he gets caught - this fight really gets the juice running down my legs

Be a class atmosphere at the Hydro, Linares is a quality boxer, Burns is former world champion, it will be a saturday night fight night.

It is 100 times better than Okolie v Massey etc

Is there any need for this? Burns has been finished for years and should stop milking money from the fools who are going to watch this.

Those don't make it a good fight those just make it a fight that's happening. Burns is finished at a decent kind of level. It's not going to be an interesting fight at all.

I dont think it is a bad match-up. I think Linares wins but Burns deserves another big night at home. And it is good for Scottish boxing to have Matchroom back up here too. Good luck Ricky!!!!

I don't see what people are moaning about. Are we saying as soon as somebody is past their prime, they should just chuck it altogether because nobody wants to watch a fight unless it's the highest level in the sport against two fighters in their prime? I think this is a perfectly acceptable fight to make. Yes, they are both past their best, but I don't think either are totally finished yet. Burns showed against Cardle that he's still miles better than domestic level. Ok, Linares got battered and stopped in the 1st round against Cano, but he got caught cold with a massive punch off a much bigger man and just never recovered, does that mean he's finished? I'm not saying it's an amazing fight, I'm saying it's an acceptable fight.

I think Linares has enough left to outpoint Burns to a decision win. I think Burns' best chance is to be the agressor from the get go and try and just put it on Linares and see how he handles it, maybe the Cano fight has added a lot more miles on the clock, and he might not handle aggressive pressure well. It's not Burns' usual style I know, but I think he should use the Cano fight as a blueprint on how to beat this version of Linares. Linares has some fragility about him, but that's nothing new. I'm still picking Linares to win on points.

Two guys who have operated at world level for a long period of time is a good fight.

Just like if Khan v Brook fight, would have better if they fought in there prime but it is still a good fight.
