The fact is I backed it up with undeniable stats and as well as presenting facts my opinions have pretty much been proven.
Dana blocked it because he new Askren wasn't worth what he was asking because no 1 wanted to watch him fight

Also i'm not saying Askren can't beat anybody, there is like you said few guys he can beat but the talk of him being 1 of the best at any time in his career or close are and have proven to be wrong.

Lol. Whatever helps you sleep at night man. But as you were claiming in the RBR as some having a blind spot due to having Jones applies here. Your dislike for Askren is clouding your judgement. Dana didn't sign Askren because he's a sociopath and petulant child who lets his emotions get the better of him. He didn't like Askren after their spat which is why he didn't sign him despite the wishes of fans, journalists and pundits.

Was only proven wrong last night in a scenario that might never happen again even if the repeated the fight 100 times. Your foolish to think if the verdict is in on how Askren would have done in the UFC 5-6 years ago had he signed then. It's largely speculative but it's safe to say he had more in the tank then than he does now.

Yeah definitely he would have had more in the tank and been more of a contender back then maybe fringe top 5,I just new he was never as good as he and others tried to make out and there is enough proof including the Santos fight and his last 2 in the UFC that he doesn't have the tools to succeed and never did.
Judging by what's come out about his training etc he seems to be OK with mediocrity despite all **** he's talked about almost the entire UFC welterweight roster  as he has never really improved or attempted to improve his stand up game despite having top strikers in the same gym

That move was a risky shot reminiscent of some of the early UFC's.

Masvidal may have drilled it in practice but should thank his lucky stars that Asken literally bowed straight into it.

This is a good watch. Askren takes the loss with stride and makes zero excuses. The guy is clearly more intelligent and more down to earth than most MMA fighters.

You should check this out @DONT B SCARED You might like Askren a bit more after this. See the comment section of people saying their view of Askren has changed due to this interview and how hes taken the loss in general.

What is everyone's favorite "wtf are you doing bruh?/just go for it full-throttle, leeroy jenkins, yolo" maneuver?

    Flying knee or spinning backfist?

    Poll worthy?

What else was a pure wrestler who doesn’t have the footwork to get out of the way gonna do? Fall back on the only thing he knows. He’s ducked his head like that in every fight. Askren is lucky. He may actually be able to fight again. That fight goes 3 full rounds. I don’t know.

Glad jorge is finally getting his due. I’ve been saying he was the best since 05-06. Aslong as he stays healthy I don’t see anybody stopping him from getting the belt.

Yeah I've seen it,apart from his boring style and the fact I don't think he's as good as he and others thought I can admit the last 12 months or so Askren has grown on me,sure he has said some cringey stuff but owning it like he has after the fight is impressive and far better then the people like Rousey who hide and make excuses

No not that risky at all considering how predictable Askrens move was and the limited consequences to the knee there was a chance he could miss or be lifted over or at worst Askren may have been on top for a short time but Masvidal has shown to be more then capable of getting thru anything Askren had to offer.

I mean. Come on dude. If it went 3 rounds it would be Askren getting his hands raised after blanketing Jorge for 15 minutes. We all knew that if Masvidal was going to win that it would be by stoppage(KO)

Pure conjecture and if anything it's far more likely Masvidal would have caught him eventually if he he hadn't caught him early considering the last 5-6 years there have been better fighters then Askren not able to clearly beat him like you are trying to make out and if it did go 3 rounds Askren had nothing for him
