Tyson and Duran were great at baiting their foes on the way in, getting them to punch and countering with hooks, two great counter/pressure fighters.

If you know your history, Leonard dispensed with any form of defence in that fight as a direct response to being labelled as nothing but a fancy Dan with little substance and no heart. He responded by going toe to toe with the fiercest boxer in the sport.
Check out the rematch when he fought his own fight

Floyd was more consistent at not getting hit too.

Ray covered up a lot v Duran, who was throwing constantly at him, count how many punches Duran missed, that bout was far closer than people think, it was an awesome display of inside fighting, very rare.

He slipped more shots than Toney did, that wasn`t cheating, it was drills, Toney didn`t train hard enough.

Pep and Locche are my shout outs with Lomachenko as a reserve option.

Locche basically scored a KD by making a guy miss so badly:

    Pep is just fantastic:

Lomachenko using his defence to set up his offense:

Canelo was not drained. Canelo came in that fight around 174 against Mayweather. So u can't use that excuse. Mayweather just stood in the pocket and school Canelo.

Toney had great reflexes/reaction-time but lacked explosiveness/athletecism.

    Weird combination.

A lot of people mention Toey, and he's a great choice....but in my lifetime I'm going with Mayweather.
Haters and casual fans who don't really know s about boxing like to call Mayweather a 'runner' but I challenge you to find me the clip of Floyd running from his opponent.
Floyd was a master, especially after 35, of sitting in one spot along the ropes and letting his opponent throw their leather wile Floyd would twist and turn and either block or slip about 90% of the shots coming at him.
This was particularly on display against Canelo, Cotto and even for the more exciting exchanges with Pac...
It is a highly effective rope a dope style that Floyd perfected later in his career. And it's not running because Floyd would literally stand right in front of his opponent and they still couldnt land on him.

But of course, I won't argue with anyone who picks Toney over Floyd

    You are right, he has.
Also almost as good outta the pocket as Wilfred Benitez.
He pulled of magic vs HearnZ
