What’s that supposed to mean? Mikey is a LW sized man who went up to 147 and couldn’t make up for his lack of size. Pac is a LW sized man who went up to WW and made up for his size disadvantage.

    I don’t think you’re following here.

Fun fact. Everyone and their mama was going on about how Pac was 1 weight too high at 130lbs and that his peak weight was 122-126. His fight at 135 was to test the waters with david Diaz.

He’s literally only at 147 because ODLH dragged him up there, most likely if that fight never happened, he would still be fighting at LW. Most LWs cut, so did Pac and that was a much more comfortable weight for him than FW or SFW. Once he got a taste of WW and how he didn’t need to dehydrate and cut and he could focus all his training camp on getting stronger, he saw the positives outweighed the size disadvantage.

So Pac fighting at WW is not without its positives, but it’s definitely not because he’s a WW sized man. I mean this is a guy who weighed 138lbs for a JWW fight. You don’t think he could have cut 3lbs more if he actually tried?

Loma is possibly a small LW to begin with and more a natural SFW but it’s definitely not a big gap. Certainly, 90% of PACs opponents at WW had a bigger size advantage over him than Pac would have had over Loma.

Pac has always been a worthy adversary for Loma, and Loma has always known this. Loma is also aware that he is not ready for the raw brutality that Pac will bring to bear on his fragile frame.

No I'm not a Lomasexual, how could I be when I was a fan of his long before that term was even coined? I've been a Loma fan for 11 years and guess what I've been a fan of Manny's for about 5 years longer than that since he demolished my favourite fighter back then (MAB). Hell, I still consider myself a big fan of his even though he's the biggest PED cheat in the history of sporting competition. FTR, I'm what is known as a Disciple of the Holy Church of Loma.

I have about as much interest in a fight between Loma and Pacroid as you do of diluting Manny's sperm before you gulp it down by the bucketful. I don't even like the idea of Loma fighting at 135 for goodness sake, if he weighed the same as he does on fight night now but was rehydrating as much as some of these giant 135 pounders are he'd be down at 122 or 118.

I agree for the most part but his thicker-than-average nature is to be noted, so it's easier for him to get a bit weight on easier. The big question is how he preservers that stamina and speed going through weights? He is a freak.

Not having to cut weight shouldn't have been that big of an issue pre-34 years old? Don't you think? A fighter surely would have benefited from that after 35, but I don't see it being huge.

And I don't believe he weighed 138 for a JWW bout. Do you have any proof of that you can link me to?

I agree. And this is why I love this fight.

You're not a Pacquiao fan if you're talking the amount of **** about him that you are. And you shouldn't be a fan of his if you really think he used/uses PEDs. For the record, I'd be highly disappointed and no longer a fan if Pac ever got clipped for PEDs.

If you were a fan of Pacquiao, you'd relish the opportunity for him to step into the matrix and put his skills to the test against a generational talent like Lomachenko. The simple fact of the matter is you're so blinded by your love of Lomachenko that you fail to see that Lomachenko swerved the octogenarian senator.

Some more facts for you to reflect on as you spread Lomachenko's flute cheese on your morning toast—he's been fighting guys the same size or bigger than Pacquiao. Linares was 152. Salido was 148. If they fought at 126, 130, 135, 140, or 147, Pac would still be the same size (148-149) on fight night. I know you've been lied to and told size doesn't matter, but in this situation, it really doesn't.

Pac has routinely given up 10-20 pounds to his opponents over the last decade. If Lomachenko was that good, he'd challenge himself and fight Pac. Lomachenko would be giving up less than 8 pounds to someone 9 years his senior. Probably less if the fight is contested at 140.

Lomachenko knew that he would have been flattened by Pacquiao. His dad knew it and you know it.

Welterweight is one of boxing's glamor divisions. Along with not cutting weight, Pac liked the money.

Fight night weight is the only number that matters when it comes to the fairness of matchups from fighters in different divisions. If Lomachenko were to fight Crawford at 140, Crawford would be 158 on the night (see Indongo fight). Or he could go up to 147 and fight Pac who would only be slightly bigger than him.

Pacquiao would fight Golovkin or Canelo at 160 if both guys rehydrated only 1-2 pounds.

Unfortunately, as much as I would like to think Loma would want to fight Pacquiao, Uncle Bob and boxing politics would prevent a fight from happening soon. That is just the reality of the situation unless a great offer can make Haymon and Arum come to the table.

I wouldn't mind seeing this fight. Loma doesn't have many good options so why not? It would be a big money fight and raise Loma's profile to boot. If Rigo can move up to fight Loma, Loma can do the same against Pac.
