Imagine at yoir place of work, a guy bot only taking credit for what you did but getting a payrise out of it. This content is protected
Not familiar but once something is announced — as when a promoter makes it official — there’s no need to credit. Or if you embed someone’s tweet or instagram you’re pointing the credit to them. Was this announced as it says? For instance if ESPN announces Fury’s next fight you don’t have to credit ESPN: they’re putting it out there for the world to use. Same as if a celebrity announces their engagement on Instagram.
No it wasn't, it was a scoop by the guys who he stole it from 10 minutes later! There are many more instances it just so happened this one popped up in my timeline. Benson NEVER breaks anything, he just leeches off others.
Again, unless I misunderstand there has been an official announcement. The first days OFFICIAL — it can’t be official without there being announcement. So I don’t see the problem. An official announcement is free for all media to use without crediting anyone. If Premier League announces next years schedule and it’s official, you don’t have to credit anyone when writing about it. You say the schedule has been announced and list the games.
Because it was through them that it was announced. I really dont get why you are sticking up for him so much? As i said before he never breaks anything, just lets people think that. He does nothing more than copy and paste other people's work.
Yes, the forum is split between two groups of people. One group are convinced that anyone that has a different opinion to them about a Matchroom fight is a Hearn employee, that anyone that opposes their view on Micheal Benson's contribution to boxing news is actually Michael Benson and that anyone that discusses boxing finances, splits or purses is actually a shill in the pay of a boxing promoter. Then there's the other group, which for ease of reference can simply be termed 'adults'.

I dont hate different opinions, im all for them and i admit when im wrong and give credit where credit is due. To dismiss this as somebody finding a reason to hate is doing the same thing you seem to be against is it not?
I couldn't care less about Benson. I don't care where my boxing news comes from as long as I get it. My initial post was a joke in reference to the level of defence saintpat was reaching to defend Benson. I found it odd, but humorous.
He is very useful hence why he has loads of followers on twitter who clearly think the same. He credits people with the stuff he sends out and the example you posted is an official announcement of a fight, that isn’t a scoop. Can you not see the difference between that and say “Fury has told me his plan for his next 3 fights and you won’t believe what he’s said.......blah blah” ? That would be stealing.
Then again, there’s people reaching levels to hate on him like the start of this thread which is more odd. He’s triggered people because people think he’s linked to Eddie Hearn. He works for talksport who frank writes a column for and usually says better stuff about frank than Eddie.
