That's why there will never be another Pacquiao.

Pacquiao is a beast in training outworks most.

The guy is extremely talented. You don't just get his movement, athletic ability and timing due to training harder, you need the talent to back it up.
Of course there are even more talented guys around, but not many.

Hmmm. He admits he is fast, powerful and footwork have to be combined. But also acknowledges on the technical side of things he is not very good but has managed to overcome those deficiency through his drive and punishing hard work. Only boxer I see that works equal and or more is Marquez and Mayweather.

We knew that. His incredible natural talent makes up for his lack of fundamentals.

There are many gymrats out there among boxers, but most of them aren't well known because they actually lack the raw talent.

40 year old Pacquiao I guaranty has outworked Thurman.

So let's see Mr big mouth talking like all he has to do is show up because he is all that and will KO PAC in two rounds etc against a work horse focused, training like a man possessed, Pacquiao.

Dude, obviously humility and selling himself short. In another interview from years back, he said that he had no natural talent and that it was all hard work.

You can't be "not a good boxer" and pitch shut outs over world class operators like Rios, Vargas, Broner, Matthysse, Algieri, De La Hoya, etc..

Actually, he pitched shut outs over Mosley, Hatton, and Clottey, too.

That's EIGHT world class fighters that you could argue couldn't win a single round off of him. I had Margarito winning 1 round (the 6th), but only because he broke Pac's rib with 2 lethal body punches... Even then you could easily give Pac that round.

It’s the old line a humble person that is great at something comes out with, pretty meaningless really.

So there must be some truth to Keith Thurman who says Manny is not a technician. Lol.

I just think Manny is being his own worst critic and showing his humility, which in addition to his ridiculous work ethic, endears him to the Filipino people and the huge fanbase that follows him. Whatever he may not be good at in terms of his boxing, he more than compensates for that with his effort and dedication to his craft. Will Smith would definitely appreciate Pacquiao because Manny is a prime example of someone who has not only talent but also skill. You just don't become boxing's only 8-division world champion and are a lousy technician. Through hard work, he kept on improving and evolving his style to the fighter he is today. Like Manny said, I hope he hasn't slowed down and gives a great showing against Keith on July 20th.

You may know it & some may not know it, new people to boxing may not know, so why the attitude ?
Ignore the fanboy ....he's a bit odd.

    Humble or staged I agree.

Morales I proved he was limited, Pac got outboxed & bled like a hog at the shed.
He Dropped JMM 3x then got countered for 9-11 rounds.
Was a 7-1 favorite over Oscar Larios, yet went the distance and got hammered in rounds 3 & 7 I think? Oscar survived IMO because he kept that jab going.

Pac @ that stage was a monster IMO because he constantly threw punches even if off balance. Not the trait of a skilled technician. Rather that was a wild little dude that won by outworking, out throwing aka out hustling with blitzing punches from stupid angles regardless of his footing or balance.

Roach settled him down, as a result he did gain a right hand that became as lethal as his left. He stopped throwing shots while off balance, but as a result, we would never see that crazy little Filipino again. Rather a calculating boxer-puncher.

Pac Morales II was pretty even going into the 6th or 7th rounds. Morales just couldn't keep up the pace, then flat out quit in the trilogy. Not due to skill, but incessant nonstop punching.
