... your favourite fighter lost (or the manner defeat)?? I'm talking teh mind of gutted where you just wanted to go away and sulk, not speak to anyone and let it play on your mind.
Pacquiao fights against Bradley the first time and Horn first come to mind. There is no way you can defend those decisions, especially the Horn decision. Jeff Horn was just dirty putting Manny in headlock and giving rabbit punches and headbutts. He got the benefit of the doubt for three reasons: home turf, the judges, and inept referee. But Manny could have won it by knocking Horn out when he had him reeling in the 9th round.
The Kovalev vs Ward I home cooking was a real deception for me. Certainly with all the fouling and holding for the backyard fighter, and it being a real trend in boxing.
Whyte not following up when he had bum quitter AJ for the taking, it took Andy Ruiz to expose the robotic fraud.
When Roy got knocked out by Tarver, the room started spinning for me and everything was in slow motion.............and I don't drink.
The golovkin draw with canelo got me. Fuming. I'm not a massive GGG fan it was more the ruthless manner in which they screwed him with no shame what so ever. I also thought he won the 2nd one and thought it was terrible how GGG won 2 fights against canelo and walked away with a draw, a loss and no belts. Hell that stunk. Got a similar feeling in the fury wilder fight too. From all that fury had come back from winning the WBC would of been the icing on the cake but they screwed him just like they did with GGG. Worst thing about those things were i knew it would happen if either canelo or wilder couldn't do the job legitimately and it did, with no shame at all the powers that be, suited up and never fought in their lives, royally ****ed over 2 guys that put their lives on the line to get win and deserved wins cuz it didn't suit the plans of the boys in the boardroom.
Canelo vs GGG I & II Had to take a month break away from boxing on both occasions. Wilder vs Ortiz I was convinced Ortiz was the man for the job. Couldn't sleep for 2 nights after the fight. I was gutted. Wilder vs Fury Very nearly quit watching boxing altogether after this one and probably would have if Wilder had been given the W.
Favorite fighter losing fair and square is never gutting really. The sickest i felt by a loss was Kov v. Ward 1 I liked Kov but wasnt some huge fan. I thought pretty confidently that he was going to win that fight...but i never imagined it being that easy. Floored Ward early (and hard), dominated the fight with the jab, tossed him around the ring like a rag doll physically, tied up the billy goat on the inside easily every time. And then to see a home town, rotten ass decision like that ....disgusting. Totally cheapened Ward's victory in the second fight too. If he comes back from an ass kicking like that to KO avenge his only defeat? wow. Instead it was just a sick reminder of the robbery in the first fight
The decision whining in Canelo GGG fights. Both fights were razor close. 1st fight was 115-113 GGG or 114-114 DRAW. Canelo got benefit of the doubt bc cash cow 2nd fight was 115-113 Canelo or 114-114 DRAW Neither fight was a robbery. The lone judge in the 1st fight shouldve lost her license. Nonetheless the fight was razor close. It's just an unpopular opinion because people are obsessed with Canelo Cottos loss to Margarito had me gutted..and the fact that Margarito likely cheated made it far, far worse
Hopkins-Smith Yaegashi-Melindo Ishida-Golovkin and Fujimoto Gabe Rosado vs the World. Huge fan of the dude, sucks to see him loose all the damn time. But it's good to see that his misfortune inside the ring has translated to fortune outside the ring. Has a nice house, his own gym and is able to take good care of his beautiful family.
