    That wasnt really funny Floyd should have been banned but Bob & his NSAC gang tried to clear his name instead. Didnt work though EVERYONE knows what he was doing

    The "Roycott."

    In 2001, after Roy Jones announced he was going to defend his light heavyweight belts against Julio Gonzalez, all the top U.S. boxing writers and fans on HBO's message boards announced a "Roycott" ... saying every boxing fan should boycott Roy Jones and his terrible defenses against no-hopers (like Gonzalez) until Jones had the stones to face a real light heavyweight like Dariusz Michalczewski (the lineal/WBO champ) and unify the titles.

    Then, not too long after, Jones moved up to heavyweight and beat Ruiz for the WBA title.

    And, with Jones gone, Dariusz decided he was going to tie Marciano's 49-0 record by fighting the same no-hoper that drove writers and fans to start the Roycott, Julio Gonzalez.

    Then Gonzalez flew to Germany, beat Dariusz and took his title.

    And most of the U.S. press - who demanded BOYCOTTING Jones because Gonzalez was so terrible - didn't cover or even write about Gonzalez winning the "lineal" light heavyweight title.

    And the fans who wanted to stage boycotts on Dariusz's behalf pretended he never existed and moved on.
