It usually says stuff that one-sidedly benefits the one who wrote it.

Obviously none of us know what was in the rematch clause.
However it does seem silly to have the rematch in the UK. The whole point of the fight was to showcase AJ to the US.
Didn't AJ already say he wants the rematch at MSG?
If I were AJ I would insist on it being back in the US to show that the first fight was a fluke.

I agree with Jr. He won't get a decision in UK, same way he wasn't getting one in New Zealand.

    Exactly.
Eddie Hearn said Joshua wanted it in Madison Square Garden again. It makes sense for both fighters , considering their stated goals.
I think Joshua is a honourable man in defeat and has honorouble intentions to take the fight back to MSG.
The people who want the fight in UK are probably the Hearns and SKY who are a bit worried about their investment and suspect Joshua is a much better fighter at home and will benefit from crowd support and crowd influenced officiating.

It doesn't really matter where it takes place but I don't blame Ruiz or his people for being difficult on the prospect of going to Joshua's backyard.

Eddie said AJ apparently wishes for it to be in the uk.

Hearn the compulsive liar, is to suddenly now to be believed?

If that was the case, why isn't the venue already agreed since the MSG works for both Joshua and Ruiz?

If it's true that Hearn works for Joshua and Joshua wishes for it to be in the US, then the venue and date should already be agreed right?

I like Ruiz, tipped him to beat AJ and I'm tipping him to win a rematch.

    But..

Ruiz can shout and scream all he wants, he can make all kinds of demands but if he signed a contract with a rematch clause then he has little choice.

I mean, sure.. He can cut his own throat as well as AJ's by refusing to fight and then he'll get stripped and the belts will get scattered.

That suits nobody, Ruiz wants a unification fight with Wilder, for all the belts, that's where the money is, it does nobody any favours if those belts all separate.

If it's difficult now to get them all together can you imagine if all four belts are with four different fighters.

Is that because Ruiz Jr isn't considered a Mexican there ?

This is going to sound dumb but if Ruiz wants it in America and Joshua wants it in the UK, why not have it somewhere neutral. Somewhere like New Zealand :)

You cant blame Ruiz tbh but he will be a perfect case of running into someone else who will do a demolition job on him. Lost his 'humble' status pretty quickly.

You see Hearn is using AJ to play good cop, bad cop? Hearn is the bad guy, AJ is the good guy. Everyone has their role.

AJ will say "Look guys I wanted it to be in the US, but my promoter and the lawyers insisted on UK, nothing I could do". This is how they make it palatable to the intl. press.
