Ryota Murata. Better not rematch this guy if you beat him. Or else he'll clobber you half to death the second time around. He fights like a samurai who lost his master and entire family. Hot and cold in the ring but when he's hot....... He'll take your head off. What's next? a fight with Golovkin would be fireworks Terrific gelling of styles.
Yeah N'dam I was BS but it's still a loss on paper and Murata fought like a man possessed in the rematch.
How many rematches does a typical fighter have in a career? 2? 3? Surely no more than that? Careers are maybe forty fights these days. Even trilogies are rare. The OP made me wonder when he called Murata the #1 rematches avenger of losses. Klitchko and Lewis avenged losses, but not many others spring to mind. Like I said, I'd like to see a couple records of fighters with multiple rematches to get a feeling for what the odds are of reversing decisions.
Between both Klitschko's only one loss was bettered in a rematch Mayweather always did better in rematches, Castillo, Maidana ect.
