I'll never take Yarde seriously until that awful lions in the camp or lions in the den catchphrase is eradicated. Kovalev fight, or even beating Kovalev, he's still embarrassing himself with that. Would be a Huge win, but someone has to have a word with him

Well none of us are. He is almost a decade younger than Kovalev though.

Well, he's not getting a decision in Kovalev's hometown, so he has to go over there looking to land big. I hope he has a real go.

That said, I can't see it. Kovalev isn't done, and he's not looking to 'cash out' lying on his back in his home city. I think this will be a fully motivated Kovalev looking his destructive best. Fair play to Yarde.

    I'm still shocked.

Yarde is good pals with Haye. Going over to Russia is not easy. I just hope Yarde has the right people in his entourage to go with him to Russia and keep him grounded there on fight week. Haye has that experience of fighting abroad, would be a good person to have a round rather than the slightly sycophantic “lions” crew he tends to have around him.

Think everyone is in same boat here surprised yarde has took this fight considering his level of opponent even a "old kovalev" kos everyone on yardes record with ease .kovalev isnt what he once was but still a bery very good fighter. For yarde risk vs reward in boxing this is well worth it. Lets be honest if he goes over there loses on points or is in fight till 2nd half then his stock will go up and he will get credit and make alot of money. Would kovalev be a massive underdog against any other beltholders not really so its a massive ask. If he were to win opens up some great fights plus outs pressue on likes buatsi

I can't see Yarde being able to penetrate the mid range with Kovalev. Even took Ward 6 rounds to figure it out. He is going to eat a tremendous amount of leather and will get clipped trying to close in.

Is everyone sure that this announcement isn't a ploy to draw Canelo into offering a bigger purse for Kovalev, and more step aside money for Yarde?

If Canelo wants the Kovalev fight, this doesn't happen IMO.

I read on here that for this rounds of negotiations that the money was held in escrow and would have been paid to Team Yarde if the fight fell through.
