Frank said Gorman next, Joyce himself said Charr but I’d honestly rather watch paint dry. What about Tony Yoka? Amateur revenge on the cards. He just destroyed Dimitrenko last night too.
He’s mandatory for the winner of Charr vs Bryan isn’t he? Who haven’t even got a date set yet so I’d assume there will be a fight in the mean time.
Shame, Joyce’s pressure fighting, and from what I’ve seen, his ability to take a shot, could make for an interesting challenge for Dubois.
I know you guys in the UK missed this but last night Charles Martin TKO'd Daniel Martz and in his post fight interview called out Wilder and....Charr....... So how about Joyce vs Martin?
Quite liked Joyce in the amateurs but he nearly made me fall asleep last night and that show boating made him look silly. He also cost me a few quid on a bet. He has work to do to get me back on side haha. Barry Jones and someone on here made comments about him punching through custard, hopefully his next opponent will have a go more so he Joyce can land on something other than gloves and we get a bit of excitement. I’d like to see the Yoka fight again, I love an amateur to pro history thing. Degale and Groves Whyte and Joshua style. Really wanted Fury Price to happen back in the day too. That would have been quality Liverpool Manchester thing going on too. Fury wasn’t as good then and Price wasn’t mentally ****ed.
I’d like to hear @Jurgen s take on Barry Jones alleged comment that Joyce was punching through custard...
I think they need to pick Joe's next few fights with care. He can't suffer a loss.. There aim must be to get him a title shot, which will be his cash out fight, so got to be careful . Great chin, good engine, but so slow. British/euro level for me.
Charr or kabayel makes the most sense, grab a decent belt without taking too much risk. Yoka is far too dangerous for no gain. Dubois is stupidly risky, a loss to a 21 yr old novice sets him back massively. He needs to play the game and cherry pick his fights, if he was 23 not 33 (or 34?)fair enough fight anyone but he can't afford to lose and get setback he just doesn't have the luxury of time of his side. Charr or kabayel, then hes knocking on the door of the top 10 guys
Just a guess but Martin will keep fighting cans until he gets paid for a Wilder fight. Chisora is a possibility as I think he will go with the highest bidder for either Joyce or Parker. Failing that Washington just got a win over Helenius or a Breazeale fight might be an achievable fight at this stage. But I also think Wallin is the one likely as he’s highly ranked with WBA and limited. They won’t risk Joyce’s WBA position. Due to his age it’s the only way he gets a title shot with a low number of fights.
He's gonna be hard to match I feel. I'd like to see him against Takam or Martin next but can't see many putting their hands up to fight him. He could fall into the who needs him club.
