I was happy already, thanks for asking.

But is the idea that you post this thread on what you think would happen and no one is allowed to point out the gap between your fantasy matchmaking and what his team thinks he is ready for? If so, let us know the rules so we don’t waste our time.

...that said, I haven't seen the Helenius fight, but also don't intend or need to and wouldn't read much into that result. Helenius is shot to hell, and El Gallo Negro is probably the same old C+ heavyweight that he always has been. :nusenuse:

Slowpoke would probably stop him, yeah, but that ain't saying much.

We're on a boxing forum. We discuss boxing - matchups etc. Whether his team want this fight soon or not is irrelevant. IF the fight went down who do you think would win? Do you like Washington here? If so say so and please be sure to leave your vote in the poll. Thanks!

I can see the comparison there.

But I think if he continues to develop the jab and ability to cut the ring off then he'll be in the mix. It is HW after all. I saw a maturing fighter against Rice. His defense was better, he was working the jab and cutting the ring off more(would still like to see the jab more) At the very least the power is real. Stopping Gibson in 1 and then Rice is a pretty impressive feat. Out of the curren batch of prospects - He and Ejagba may have leave the most to be desired about their actual boxing ski but I'm the least concerned about their power as they step up in class.

Except Fury and Usyk - both of them would take him to the school and wooldn't break a sweat in doing so

True, and we all saw how slow Jermaine Franklin was the other night, and he still has people calling him "the best American heavyweight prospect" :shakehead:. (although tbf, Steve Farhood did walk that statement back after declaring that per his card Forrest had gotten badly robbed).

Speed is a helpful but not entirely necessary quality in this division.

But he can't cut the ring like Beterbiev does and his punches are way more telegraphed comparing tio Beterbiev's ones. He is heavyweight version of Beterbiev in terms of power and killer instinct but not in terms of skills

Yeah Franklin went completely off my short list of US HW hopefuls after that weak performance. Rock is the guy to zone in on but it's hard to be a full believer due to how heavy he comes in. Safe to say he has a lot more upside than Franklin though.

But alas that might be enough for his division. If he fine tunes his skills a bit I think he'll be a factor.
