“The Deontay Wilder vs Luis Ortiz rematch is reportedly now likely to take place in November and won’t be happening on September 28th, as was previously touted as a possible option. [According to @MikeCoppinger]”

They need more time to negotiate with fury and pull the swerve possibly.

Or they are waiting for Luis "Rigor mortis" Ortis to ripen up a bit more.

Letting Ortiz get a month older isn't such a bad idea.

Yeah going by some of the estimates of his age by people on here Ortiz apparently get's a year older every month and will be going on 70 by fight time

Wilder just wants Ortiz to get a little older, waiting for that knee arthritis to build up.

Oh no, sounds like somebody has screwed up the timings on Wilders PED cycling.

Haha. Carbon dating suggests he was born in around 1587.

The theories are bizarre to me because if you compare him to Foreman in his 40s he looks about 25. I could see him shaving a year or two off but that's it.

The stories of there being footage of him fighting in the 80s :risas3:

I think the problem with Luis Ortiz age is the long history of Cuban fighters lying about their age along with the many times Ortiz has talked about watching the "Rumble in the Jungle" live as a child sat with his father. That would make him between 48 and 50 years old.

Ortiz age is totally irrelevant at the end of the day as he's still a top 5 Heavyweight and easily 1 of the most dangerous and avoided fighters in the division
