    Calzaghe was far harder to hit than Lewis who was a sucker for jabs.

    Eh? Calzaghe was ****-easy to hit with right hands throughout his career. Lennox with his height, reach and back foot style was much harder to hit than the square-on southpaw who winged shots, of course.

    Calzaghe was greater because he overcame adversity DURING the fights he went down heavily in, whereas Lennox had to go away and regroup before going back in with those journeymen.

    Calzaghe was brilliant, one of the greats to come out of these shores..... but Lennox, without a shadow of a doubt.

    Undisputed Heavyweight champ, only two defeats which he avenged and finished his career with a fantastic resume.

    Lennox and its not close .

    In all honesty I don't think Joe was even above Hatton standards. When you look at who he beat and when he beat them ?

    Does he really hang with RJJ and Hopkins maybe just 3 years earlier ?

    I have Lewis ranked ahead of Calzaghe on the list of all time great British fighters.

    Calzaghe as always is difficult to rank, and a polarising figure.

    Hopkins was still very good, and ranked top 5 p4p for a few years after he fought Calzaghe. Notwithstanding it being a boring fight, it is one of the best results on paper for a British fighters in recent decades. Calzaghe-Hopkins is probably a messy and difficult to score affair regardless of what stage they fought.

    Jones was completely shot and the win was pretty meaningless. A prime Jones does a number on Calzaghe, but that's hardly a damning indictment of any fighter.
