Some MMA fans think Conor did well, boxing fans feel he got walked down easily, but I would like to see them in a striking only fight with MMA gloves because I feel Floyd would punch harder with smaller gloves, would MMA fans like to see these two go at it again?
Conor no longer has the mystique or momentum on his side. The only way to create a similar level of interest their first fight generated would be to have them fight under MMA rules in the octagon. If Floyd had faith in his boxing the fight would have happened by now. Despite the probability of a one-sided fight, it would be a record-breaker.
Boxing alone doesn`t work in MMA fight, Conor has kicks also and did far better on the ground v Khabib than a boxer could, mismatch.
I have followed both boxing and mma for a long long time now and Floyd clearly carried Conor in that fight. Deliberately did nothing for 4 or 5 rds and then just walked Conor down. Since when does Floyd Mayweather walk down opponents. He had ZERO respect for McGregors skills and rightly so. Yes Conor may have won a few rds early because Floyd let him. Seriously if anyone here on these boards can't see this then I don't know what to tell you, you don't understand fighting. Obviously Conor would easily beat Floyd in a strictly mma fight. I don't want to see it again, no thanks. When McGregor fights again I want to see him fight a top 5 ufc lightweight and show the fans what he's got above the manlet divisions. Nothing else is acceptable if he doesn't want to be seen as a joke.
