Don't get your panties in an uproar denier. I know it hurts to hear that some of your heros have glass jaws, but they do. Accept it and you'll feel better.

You really are a wet blanket.

A few people laugh at your latest pathetic chin checking thread so you dig up this dustcart of useless posts from a time when your one note joke had a smidgen of relevancy on these boards.

    Jesus wept.

Do glass jaws exist in boxing? Maybe, but surely a rarity at the top level.

Do virgins exist on this forum? Undoubtedly, and rife among those endlessly speculating about supposed glass jaws.

I just can't comprehend why people don't see the critical importance of being able to take a punch, or why they feel the need to attack those who point out, even when they see signs of a fragile mandible, let alone identifying an obvious glass jaw.

No matter. I, and my colleagues, will continue to point out that punch resistance matters in this sport, whatever attacks we may have to endure as a result. This is something that so many boxing fans, apparently, need to made aware of.

The chincheckers have been proven wrong on many occasions. They've predicted Deontay would be KOed years ago. But the devastating bronze bomber still has a firm grip on that shiny green belt. Lol.

You know why people think you're ridiculous. Professional punchers punching people in the head sometimes hurt them. What a massive surprise.

Sometimes. And differences in punch resistance account for why some are hurt, and others are not. Fighters with good chins stand up to punches, those that don't get KTFO.

Trying to compare any two punches is difficult as their are so many different factors to compare - angle, power, ability of the fighter to see the shot coming and brace/slightly evade to take something off of it, punishment already absorbed that night to name but a few.

Some fighters do have poor punch resistance but it's nowhere near the ridiculous epidemic you make it out to be for a cheap laugh.

Well, well.... this old, tired chestnut. What can I say? I guess, if you haven't much of a clue about even the basic nuances of boxing, you can observe the bleeding obvious - punch lands, man falls over - construct some 'hilarious' hypothesis and hide ignorance behind it.

A bit like a Christmas cracker these threads: open it up and find a lame joke inside...

So ultimately what we disagree on is the prevalence of glass jaws in boxing, not their existence. That's fine with me.:)

Noone denies they exist. Khan, Price, Kirkland etc.

What annoys people is you claiming any KO loss is due to the knocked out fighter having a glass jaw.

It's immature and you should knock it off.

And here I thought we were coming to an understanding.... People DO deny that Khan, Kirkland, even Price, have glass jaws. They usually have some excuse like their stamina is poor, or even worse that "the punch that KOd (XYZ Glass Jawed Fighter) woulda KOd anybody.."

I do not claim that any KO loss results from a fighter having has a glass jaw. There are plenty of stoppages I or my fellow chincheckers do not comment on, precisely because we know there are other factors, or the type of stoppage doesn't warrant a conclusion of mandibular fragility, etc. in these cases.

Chin Assessment is both an art and a science and those of us who choose to focus on this issue study each case carefully.

I'm not buying any of the above really - a few nut jobs love Khan and blame it on poor defence/stamina but most people say he's glass jawed and just because a punch breaks china doesn't mean it would bounce off someone else. A good punch remains a good punch regardless of what it hits.

And more often than not you jump on a downed fighter shouting 'glass' whenever they have a KO loss. Don't bother denying that it's here for us all to see. I mean, you find that Prof. I C Chins account funny and that's about as much fun as an attractive woman who rarely swears would have on a date with the Professor.

I agree with Zakman that glass jaws exist. I suspect Zakman is hiding a glass jaw as well!
