DAZN doesn't give a **** about who deserves what. They are about making money. It is not about what GGG or Canelo wants. DAZN paid both. They are now tied to whomever Dazn says they will fight and where.

 

What entitles GGG to shot after shot after having had 2 chances?

Wasn’t GGG the reigning champion and multiple title holder for the first 2 fights? By that reckoning, wouldn’t that mean it was Canelo who was given shot after shot by GGG and not the other way round? So having giving Canelo two chances why the outrage that GGG wants one shot at regaining his titles?

 

Blame GGG he's not known as the biggest diva in boxing for nothing.

 

And so he will, and its a risk he is willing to make.

 

You can blame whoever you want, but Canelo has a problem now. He needs big money fights according to his contract, but nobody wants to fight him, unless DLH pay huge amount of money.

 

They paid Canelo that contract so that he could legitimize their company here in the states. Before Canelo DAZN was virtually uknown here in the U.S. It was an investment they made and everyone knew they would lose money as they transitioned into the U.S. market. Them not approving of Andrade was very short sighted of them and now they get nothing. Perhaps they are happy with that, but Canelo is once again showing that he doesn't get dictated too.

 

We will see who calls the shots. Unless its in the contract Canelo could fight Andrade, Callum Smith, or Gilberto Ramirez and DAZN will have to fork out the money. DAZN is the platform not the promoter, they can approve and decline opponents but its not smart business.

They weren't banking on Canelo not being a greedy money hungry fighter. Canelo has proven time and time again that money comes second.

 

Canelo is the richest fighter, and one of the richest athletes worldwide. I don't think he views not fighting this Sept. as a problem. DAZN is the one that NEEDS the big money fights, CAnelo clearly wants the big LEGACY fights.

 

I don't think it works that way, hence the reason there is no fight in Sept. They can decline fights, but that will end up being worse for them. The sport is bigger than DAZN and I don't think DAZN would be able to defend them declining Derevyanchenko (Canelo's mandatory), Andrade (the other MW titlist), Callum Smith (SMW champion) because they don't want to lose money. Giving Canelo and GGG the contracts they did was a risk they were willing to take.

 

He is only rich because DAZN is paying him. If he doesnt fight he wont get paid.

 

Blessing in disguise for GGG, Canelo stops him if they get it on a 3rd time.

 

He was super rich even before DAZN. He was the highest paid boxer before DAZN. Canelo has always proven he was about legacy over money. He proved it when he took 5 mil to Mayweathers 30+ mil. Proved it again when he took on very high risk low reward Erislandy Lara. Proved it when he was the A side and still took 7 mil to Cotto's 25+ mil, proved it again when he paid GGG 4-5 times his highest payday just to get him into the ring. He proved when he conded weight stipulations to Mayweather, Khan and Cotto. Proved it when he accepted not using his gloves because GGG was being a little b**** about it, when GBP had to fork out extra mone so GGG can take the rematch, and when he accepted GGG approving or rejecteing judges for the rematch. That's a fight fans fighter, how can you not be a fan.

But you go on swinging on GGGs nuts who doesn't like risk fights, has stipulations, and does not concede to anything.

 

It is clear as day why he isn't fighting in September. He can only fight in fights that won't put Dazn in the red. Dazn doesn't care about legacy. all they see is 365 million and how to get it back plus some.
