So my question is this: If DAZN supposedly will only approve a fight that makes a certain amount (ie; GGG fight), what happens after said fight is over? Canelo isn't only signed for 1 fight. What the hell is DAZN gonna do, GGG vs Canelo VII? They could take other fights to build to make sure the GGG fight counts as much as it possibly could. Canelo should be getting Andrade's belt and Golokin taking Charlo's. Then a showdown for the undisputed middleweight title. Is anyone even going to want to see Canelo and GGG in together again beyond the trilogy fight?

 

Actually, he gave Canelo 2 shots at the title. It's Canelo, who, after robbing him, doesn't want the rematch. Bizarro world you live in.

Canelo's terms:

I'm pretty sure just about every fight DAZN has put on has left them in the red. You think they broke even or profited for Canelo-Fielding or GGG-Rolls? It was an investment they made for long term. DAZN has some say on who opponents will be but are not the ultimate power.

Mandatories, unifications, eliminators would probably supersede whatever DAZN says. Its a risky business. HBO couldn't even stay afloat.

 

Maybe not stop him but he will beat him easier in a 3rd fight.

 

Canelo never asked for a shot so its not the same. He accepted the challenge after being pestered non stop. When Golovkin demanded another fight , he gave him another.
Canelo never wanted Golovkin and know he's done with him after two back to back fights.
He won't be used a third time so GG has an excuse to avoid the rest of the division.

I don't think DAZN has as much power as people are making out to seem. Mostly CAnelo haters. DAZN is like HBO or Showtime. They can approve and decline certain fights, but they can't keep fighters from fulfilling their mandatories. Ultimately they can push for fights but they can't be bigger than boxing.
