    Young was a total bore to watch but he was a very clever fighter. I think at his absolute best he would defeat any crude slugger.

    Wilder is taller, longer, faster, has much better stamina, little in common with Foreman other than both had power. If a fighter could survive Foreman's early attack and take him past 3 rounds, Foreman weakened, Wilder is just as dangerous in the last round as in the first.

    I think Wilder catches him late like he did with Fury, only Young doesn't get up

    Young toys with Wilder and gets the decision unless Wilder manages to catch young clean with a combination, but Wilder’s pride often results in him over relying on his right hand.

    Young is easily twice the fighter Ortiz is and wouldn’t fall for the same right hand over and over again.

    One of the biggest myths in HW division history.

    Young frustrates Wilder for a clear UD.

    ask Moorer if Foreman was weak after 3rds. If fury could last with wilder , you don't think young could? Young was in with guys better than Wilder when he was way past his best and did well, Jeff Simms comes to mind, and Cooney, was doing well before the cut. Young is several classes above Wilder, would toy with him

    Foreman stopped
    Johnson in the 7th
    Peralta in the 10th
    Then as an old man;
    Crabtree in 6th when he was 37
    Qawi in the 7th when he was 39
    Young in the 7th when he was 40
    Coetzer in the 8th when he was 44
    Moorer in the 10th when he was 45

    Why should he be penalised for taking people out early because he hit too hard for them?

    He could yes.Young went the distance with good bangers like;
    Lyle x2
    Shavers second time around
    Norton
    Garcia
    Williams
    He is in with a live chance of doing the same with Wilder .

    Young never did have a promoter behind him. Nor a style the judges loved. Certainly is a lot to overcome, isn't it? Try subtracting that from some other guys.

    Sure don't see an Al Haymon card being kind to Jimmy Young.

    So I think a crappy decision win for Wilder. Lets say worse than the Fury fight with no knockdowns.

    Young was trained to fight 15 rounds. He was also 5 levels above wilder in terms of boxing skill. Jimmy outboxes Wilder for the decision win.
