The identities of the boxers in the video aren't solved on that thread yet. I'm leaning towards Hunter not being in that video at all. And the guy who got KO'd is not Oscar Rivas. I'm also leaning towards the other guy (the one scoring the KO) being Oscar Rivas !
Oh I know, I thought it had Rivas' AM record on there but I misread, it's actually Hunter's. That'll teach me to try and be useful
In fact, the comment on youtube says : "knock-out a los 26 segundos de pelea del vallecaucano Oscar rivas 91 kg sobre el pugilista de Antioquia," Which I think means, Oscar Rivas (who is from Valle de Caua) knocked out the boxer from Antioquia . So, probably two Colombians fighting. Not sure how on earth that was mistaken fro Rivas being starched by Hunter.
But it's still quite useful because it confirms that Rivas was beaten by Hunter, albeit on points I think (I'll have to go back and check that though!).
That clip doesn’t look anything like Rivas. His loss to Hunter was on points from what I can find. A first round stoppage to a Cuban in 2006 is mentioned...
This content is protected Rivas interview. He seems up for this. Very confident. Speaks perfect French by the sounds of it.
Dunno if it's been mentioned so far, but whatever the result you can look forward to Dillian AND Frank/Kellie Maloney on upcoming Celebrity Masterchef. Dillian must have got bored waiting for Wilder.
18st 2ib (although i’m sure they said 18st 6ib as they weighed him). It’s not really great for the old gas tank that but obviously looking to try to hold centre of the ring with his size. Rivas 17st 1ib which is also a lot of muscle on a smaller frame. He’s used to fighting the bigger man having done so throughout his career so I don’t think he’ll be deterred by Whyte’s size. For me, he’s got to try and make Whyte work harder than he’d prefer to.
Whyte being reported as 12lbs heavier than vs Chisora 2. Obviously looking to keep centre ring and win a barnstormer. Oscar Rivas looks like a pumped up light heavyweight but has the skills to have Dillian blowing out of his ass if this goes long
was 17-7 for Allen and he held the compubox record in that fight for punch output at 1,000 plus - and for some time. Not sure if he still holds it. There's a bit more lard on him now but with that output it's still got to be a decent tank. Unless he's eaten all the pies during his stint on Masterchef and packed the training in.
Similar weight to how he went in against Parker & Browne. He seemed quite pumped at the stare down. I’m willing to throw my hat in the ring and say that I really believe Rivas will pull off a shock win. That said, I would like Whyte to win so he gets that big fight for the WBC title.
I am as worried for Dillian as I was when he fought Parker, because I knew how dangerous Parkers speed was, and he who lands first.... But I still back Whyte all day - it's going to be beyond epic, two really tough and strong heavyweights going to war, except Whyte has been there more times than Rivas, and he knows what to expect.
