Thoughts? This will be disaster for Matchroom and AJ if he doesn't rematch Ruiz next

No way AJ doesn't take the rematch. I never rated him above Fury and Wilder, but with all his physical gifts and home advantage he's a hell of a lot better than Andy Ruiz. If he fights boring and long like he did against Parker he wins. AJ will know that.

Not as much of a disaster as if he rematches him.

I think we already have proof this isn't the case, Ruiz walked all over him !

So you're saying AJ fought Ruiz boring and long and the fight was in the UK? That's an interesting take.

Gareth knows. I've been saying it since the night and all the waffle after it.

All the talk, hype and "confirmations" (which have been anything but) thus far is just PR ruse to keep the brand afloat. They've known since day 1 they don't want any part of Ruiz next.

Until the seconds out call rings out, it ain't happening. There's simply too much at stake for MR. Forget about "not wanting to rush it", that's just Hearn spin. It's about not risking another 0 at all costs and salvaging what's left of brand AJ without taking any more risks - which let's be fair they were averse to doing BEFORE the Ruiz fight.

    This means...

AJ will stay in the UK for the rest of his career until the very end fighting also-rans. Cap this.

why didn't he adapt if he could ? He should also be able to travel and still beat Ruiz on home turf if hes good enough, he clearly wasnt

If AJ fights long, why would Ruiz not be able to counter over his jab with overhand rights?

We still dont know that. But what we do know is that Ruiz wont be coming to the UK, and has come out and said that.

This is a power play, and makes the rematch less likely to happen. AJ may not fancy fighting away from home again.

Allegedly, he's already trying to change the trainer. It seems Joshua is starting to panic. To rematch Ruiz now might be a disaster.
