He had a bad drink problem, as well as gambling.

This is a man, who is a loose cannon, and a load of money in bank. Hopefully there is some form of after care team.

Can’t help but think you’ll see him in papers looking rough after a 4 day cocaine session.

Gorman is a very good fighter who just got dispatched by potentially a future world heavyweight champion...if he’d been stopped by some pudding then yeah, it makes sense to question where he’s going but he got starched by Dubois, not Nick Webb.
Fighters get beat, sometimes stopped, sometimes brutally, especially in the heavyweight division.

Gorman would box Allen’s head off. Nowhere near the same level. Easy work for Gorman.

Some of the people posting on this forum need to leave their bedroom for a few minutes and meet some actual human beings. Dave Allen took fights against top level oppposition at short notice and lost. His personality, natural physical toughness and back story caught on with the public, so he was given a push by Sky Sports.
The comments about ''karma'' getting to him, him ''quitting'' and being a useless journeman show why every pro involved in the sport has stopped posting here. The reason Allen ended up being carried from the ring was because he's anything but a quitter. Maybe he should have used the David Price line about an injured arm and quit after 5 rounds. As it is he's in hospital with a fractured cheekbone and another severe laceration to his tongue. Thank God, because it could have been far worse.
The absolute desperation to revel in a fighter's misfortune and physical suffering on here is soul destroying at times.

**** off your dirty casual. He is trash and many other talented fighters are much more deserving of his spot. The whole thing is a ****ing con.

You haven't the slightest clue what you are watching, you get told what to think. You haven't got opinion.

The Doncaster de La Hoya - once you take the name and fame you need to deal with the inevitable stick when one fails to deliver. Made Big Dave Price look like Joe Calzaghe tonight.

The more informed on here knew he was the biggest pudding in the division yet Sky and Eh day misled the casuals. You take the hype and the big bucks, you need to take the tripe that follows.

Hopefully he now returns to domestic level and gets at shot at Daniel Dubois for the British Heavweight Title - a career ending fight but a final payday.

The good news for him is that Sky will have a place for him on the commentary team where all he has to do is talk shyte fight after fight - the man will be a natural.

What does he mean by saying his health has been deteriorating over the last 12 months?

Don’t know if he means because he’s an alcoholic or whether he’s just been taking too many blows.

Either way he needs to hang them up. If he’s this amazing personality that we get rammed down our throats then surely he could become a presenter or pundit or something and earn a living that way?

This man has gambling, alcohol, cocaine and depression issues.

He should be boxing until he sorts his problems out, but the truth is he has no other way of making a living and isnt going to hang them up anytime soon

Eddie Hearn should really take more care with him, because he is going to get seriously hurt if he carries on like this.
