Pacquiao should be in the Classic section. The fact that he's still this good at 40 is ridiculous. What a fighter.

All logic says that Pac should be Roy Jones shot right now given his mileage and fighting style. At the end of the day, guys like Broner and Thurman aren't tomato cans. I mean, Jones got ko'd by Enzo Mac. Pac's skill has always been underated. That's what he is surving on these days.

I'm not even a Floyd fan, and how are you ''stating the facts'' with admitting you have a personal bias for fighters which have a style which you like?

It's not really. To be honest Pacman and Thurman had a good fight, I though it was pretty close and had Pac ahead by 2 rounds (and of course the knockdown). Pac won fair and square, he's a great fighter. I actually like Pac, what I don't like however is hardcore/excessive Pacquaio delusional fanboys who spew out rubbish about Pac being the greatest fighter of this generation among other obscenities.

Stating facts with floyd’s record and resume. Now I won’t do a full recap for your daft ass. Scroll back and read. Hope you enjoyed that fight!

I’ll leave this here for ya...

I'm not really sure what this video proves? Pac who was in his 40's beat a man in his prime (Thurman) in great fashion. You're acting like I said Pacquaio was a complete bum, which I didn't. Pacquaio is one of the greatest fighters of all time, no shame about that.

Also in this thread you never mentioned Floyd's resume.

I'm going to use the original posters logic here: Because I (me) like a good fighter who has a style I like, Canelo for example, because he has good defense/offense and ''class'' among other qualities. Therefore that makes Canelo the greatest fighter of this generation!!

And I have to disregard other fighters who have styles I don't like (Mayweather is too defensive!!!)

“His career as a whole” is basically Pacs resume. **** Floyd’s. Like I said... don’t even bother if you can’t follow along dumb dumb. Post #11

Pacman took on an undefeated world champion a decade younger. That takes guts and shows how great he is
In retrospect, everyone can criticise Thurman, fact is he was undefeated and had a world title

    Pacman rulez

That was a misspell I meant Floyd's Record, which you never discussed in detail like you have claimed to. You mentioned Floyd's record, but you never dissected it or went in depth about it. Saying ''not bothering to take part in circus acts to pad his record'' isn't really the facts you were claiming to have stated, thats just one fact you mentioned this entire thread.

You like to act all high and mighty yet you have a inferiority complex, you can't sing Pacman's praises without having to take constant swipes at Floyd. If Pacquaio was undoubtedly the greatest fighter of this generation you wouldn't need to keep constantly mentioning Mayweather next to his name, as Floyd would be beneath him.

Do you and other Pac fans keep mentioning Cotto's name or Bradley's name? Of course not, as Pac is easily above these guys. Whereas as Floyd is above Pac you have to constantly belittle and downplay everything Floyd has done, it's pretty pathetic.

Pac is a wonder indeed, reason to celebrate! IMO he is an exciting fighter who just gave a(nother) scintillating performance.

For me, since I never spoke of Thurman as a top primed fighter here, rather a belt holder, titlist prone to injury & only fought 3 fights in 3 previous years isn't a measure for greatest of his era.

This fight IMO was a measure that Pac is still a force to be reckoned with. In order to call him the greatest due to win at 40 would have to be against Crawford or Spence that would allow me to call him one of the top 3 of his era.
Pac isn't. Best don't have 3 KO losses, gets out boxed thoroughly by Morales, reduced in punch output by JMM 3x to under 300 thrown in each fight, then KO'd. Best of an era doesn't claim wins of an 8th title @ catch-weight against a dude(Rito) to which neither fighter never won at 154 to qualify for a shot. Best of the era doesn't get lulled into to a loss by PBF.

Pac IMO is without a doubt the most exciting performer of his era, not best boxer. He's not a technical guru, he's not a defensive wizard who is unable to be hit cleanly. He's a whirlwind, nonstop tsunami-styled-punching machine. Friggin' exciting from bell to bell.

No one like him. He beat a very good boxer tonight, IMO, not a gr8 one! Nevertheless, enjoy the win, Those who picked a 40 yr old part time boxer, full time politician deserve to revel in victory!
