Kudos to Manny, he’s just something else! To beat Thurman at aged 40 is mind boggling. If he now goes on to beat Crawford or Spence, surly top 5 ATG in everyone’s book barring the haters. I feel as though Mayweather’s whole legacy will be defined by his win over Pac but Pac’s Legacy is defined by doing what everyone said was impossible over and over again. If they do meet again I would favour the same result but in terms of their standings as fighters as great as FJM is... Manny is levels above
He should fight Khan for bucketfuls of Saudi cash. What's a 40 yr old man doing getting in the ring with Crawford or Spence other than tempting fate?
I thought people were saying that this fight was a 50-50, how was this Pacquaio ''doing what everyone said was impossible over and over again'' in this scenario?
I personally never saw this as a 50-50 and not sure many others did. 75-25 in Thurmans favour imo Thurman is a top top WW and Manny wasn’t in trouble once in the fight. Jamzy I am not sure what your motive is but if it’s hate I would suggest like I do to haters of any great fighter, rather than look at this man with pure hate and try to discredit his mind bending achievements, how about you enjoy being alive during the era of Manny “one of the best to ever do it” Pacquioa cuz the next generation will wish they could have seen the 8 weight world champion in action live like you can 3 times a year.
I honestly feel that this win really enhances Pacquiao's ATG status. To beat a young undefeated Lion in his prime at 40 years old is unreal. TO knock him down in the first round, to hurt him again in the 10th. Keith landed some good shots but Pacquiao is an absolute legend. He deserves all the glory after that performance. And I got to say Pacquiao has one hell of a chin. Keith threw the kitchen sink at this guy and Pacquiao never once looked hurt.
There was for sure more excitement in the Pac-Thurman fight than there was in the whole of Floyd's career
Please no need for blind hate filled comments. Yes FJM was in most fights a safety first kind of guy but he had some classics such as his first fight with Maidana.
I'm no Pac hater and I actually quite enjoy seeing him fight, I was just pointing to the truth that the majority of people saw this as a 50/50 fight for a few different reasons such as Thurman coming off a lengthy layoff, Pacquaioa being the level of fighter we saw tonight, how Manny dominated Broner, Thurman looking rusty in his comeback fight and Thurman's injury problems etc. This was a true 50-50 fight don't try to spin it any other way to suit your agenda. I was just highlighting something that I consider inaccurate.
Well that goes without saying now. He's the best of his generation and its not even close. I'd say Hopkins is next, but he's way behind.
