Again showed true fighting spirit, Throwing that left hook an missing by miles, leaving himself completely exposed to be KO'd. very good jab, and great body work. Stayed on the ropes for too long at times, decent defence, chin shakey, big heart and spirit.

    8/10 Performance.

His macho attitude (I HAVE to be the tough guy at all times) means he'll get baited and drawn into a brawl. Someone will elite boxing skills like Tyson Fury will own him.

Luckily there is no depth of talent out there.

A prime Klitschko would have humiliated him.

What's scary is that lopping shot he throws where he loses all his balance and goes full circle. Surprised someone hasn't counted him on that yet. He does it do often

Tbf, the two guys you've mentioned are probably the best of their respective eras. Era #1s, yeah, they would beat most guys, of course they would. But I don't think anyone is claiming that type of status for Whyte. He's just a good fighter who deserves another chance to hail-mary another top man in a big money fight.

Rivas would have given any top 10 HW problems... he came in shape, and showed guts and a strong chin. Only thing I didn't like about Whyte is he was clumsier than usual... maybe it was because he was so fat??? maybe Ruiz gave him some inspiration to come in extra thicc

He continues to be unimpressive but gets the job done. I don't know how he does it. He's much better than I give him credit for but I can't warm to him. He just seems **** to me.

Is Whyte the luckiest man in boxing...sports?

Just seems to keep beating the impossible, Rivas had 200 amateur fights, I wonder what kind of experience that gives a boxer, coupled with all that musculature, and power, and controlled aggression.

I'm not his biggest fan but he fought a good fight last night... Jab was great..... What annoyed me abit was when he hurt rivas he threw some god awful telegraphed shots.... A heavy bag could have slipped them.... And that lead left hook he does sometimes looks horrendous.... Your not a prime Roy Jones dillian.

Yeah, I agree, I think Kaboom's offense is a little limited by his height. He is a very short HW and I think that's why he has stretches where he just doesn't throw much. He's kind of stuck between weight classes. He carries way too much mass for Cruiser and there's no way he could get to 200, but he is a very short HW. I personally really enjoy watching Oscar fight, I just wish he was a little busier and had more in his arsenal. I love to see him work more rear uppercuts and double left hooks on the inside. Rivas is a tough dude and will give plenty of HW's a tough night at the office.

The one minus is how he went down from that uppercut. It wasn't a flash knockdown, slip or strategic knee, he was flattened. A better finisher than Rivas would have got Whyte out of there.

Loved the double Jab, thought he controlled the distance well. Needs to lose 7 ilbs.

Rivas is still young and wasn't involved in many wars. He had some eye issues in the past so i hope his eye is fine for the future but he should have at least 3-4 years on that level. He beat the **** out of Jennings in Round 12 and was probably not far away from stopping Whyte, took bombs there and wasn't close to getting hurt or dropped although he fought 3 or 4 rounds with a damaged eye. I think Rivas is a legit Top 10 HW right now. Not a Fake Top 10 like Breazeale or Chisora. Imo Chisora vs. Rivas could be a cracker but most likely Rivas should stick back to fight some easier opponents in the next 6-9 months. Hopefully he stays busy. He's a great addition to the division right now.

Rivas is a massive puncher? Who did he ever knock out who was decent? A past his prime Bryant Jennings? That doesn't make you a massive puncher.
