Huge respect for Keith Thurman

No respect at all , **** that clown he couldn’t beat 40 yo shot manny after talking all that crap . Literally **** that idiot.

 

Keith isn't that good and it showed. He isn't terrible but Manny was looking tired about round 7 and his activity (including his signature in and out movement) was largely gone. Keith is a GOOD welter, he just isn't great. He should have been able to dictate the pace and distance of that fight but he couldn't. Just when he started to get momentum Pac nearly ended him with a bodyshot.

 

I'm not here to defend Floyd but that dude is straight lying. No one knows who he is. Floyd knew he was going to get seriously paid for Conor. Because Conor is MMA biggest star. and talked major trash. Mayweather wouldn't make 10 million for this fight. If Mayweather wanted to fight another MMA fighter it would be GSP.
And that fight wouldn't make 50 million for Floyd.

 

You could also make a case of this being a diminished Thurman who has had major surgery on his shoulder. It was a difficult fight to call for that reason.

I thought this fight could go either way whereas I think Spence and Crawford sadly do a number on this version of Manny. I'd love that not to be the case but fear it is.

Um, every boxer in the sport would love to fight Pacquiao for the pay check. Thurman wanted no part of Spence, who was there for him.

 

What won the fight for Pacquiao was the body shot in the 10th. Keith looked like he was headed for a virtual sweep of the championship rounds but lost the 10th due to that punch and had less in the tank for the 12th, which he also lost.

 

Yup the body shot too was a big factor. I had him winning the 12th tbh but I feel that he took a long time to recover fully from the KD and lost way too many early rounds in the process.

On the two 115-112 cards he lost the 10th and 12th. If Thurman took both, he would have had a unanimous decision with those cards being 114-113 in his favor.

 

Crawford has dominated pretty much everyone he's fought, including Horn who beat Pacquiao and Postol who never had a bad night to this day (except against Crawford). So yes, there is reason to make that claim.

 

For one, Manny beat Horn. Crawford was getting tagged by a one-legged fighter in Jose who many wouldve stopped much earlier. You guys really overrate fighters who haven't beat anyone of note. At least Thurman has Porter ans Danny. Who does Crawford have?

You don't give a guy crap for failing to do what he said he would do. You give crap to a guy who says he will do one thing and then doesn't.

Keith fought like a goddamn warrior. Took the fight to Pac like he promised. Worked Pac's body like he promised. Didn't run at all.

 

...Another emotional poster. Horn beat Pacquiao. It’s on paper and my scorecard too. The same guy who had a rough fight with Pacquiao was totally outclassed by Crawford. Pacquiao has not been vocal about wanting to fight Spence or Crawford.
