People need to understand that there’s a line between what should be a normal Saturday fight night (which we pay monthly for and get few and far between) and a PPV. This is why I’ve championed a DAZN model in the past but people shoot it down because Hearn’s behind it. Forget who’s behind it, whether it’s Hearn or Warren or Kelly Maloney. Imagine getting multiple shows a month a lot of which feature quality fighters and fights for a £10 subscription fee and not having to pay for your Sky and BT on top of that.
Nice call, I hope you at least got your nights money back on a smart pick! I did not see that upset coming, I figured that Whyte/Rivas had the best chance of the upset last night.
Obviously the money sky provide the promoter isn't enough to stage these fights, like that gate of 12k or whatever it was plus the fees from sky would not allow these kind of fights. I understand yes youre already paying a subscription but that money then split across all the other sports probably doesn't leave a whole lot for boxing. And as far as these guys like White and even Dave Allen getting decent money, I have no issue with that when you see the bang average footballers, NBA, NHL etc and they money they make I say good luck to them.
Of course you have to pay extra. Who else is gonna pay for it? The money just isn't there in the sky budget. end of
Errr let me think, football? Golf? Darts? Cricket etc. They are all a lot more popular than boxing believe it or not. Boxing doesn't get 100% of our subscription money ffs.
I didn't buy the fight for a start. But if I choose to then thats my decision. Its a bit weird that you would call someone a nonce. Maybe you are trying to deflect your own sexual tendancies onto someone else.
I'm kind of curious what you think they should be doing instead. If you're struggling, you probably haven't got the option to just do more work, and it's not like posting on a forum is an especially costly hobby
Great answer. Proves you had absolutely nothing for me on the subject matter. Run along now pal, go and mourn that £19.99 You spent on #whyterivas
I've no idea what they should be doing but they are struggling then sat on a forum spouting of jealous comments about certain fighters not worthy of ppv fights are obviously not doing something right. I am all for the fighters or anyone in fact earning as much as they can. And the critical comments against others who choose to buy ppv is probably a reflection of the failed jealous little life they lead.
