He was floored by semi-retired midgetman Gamboa who had moved up 2 weight classes.

Is this worth actually watching? (fell asleep before it started)

2009 Pacquiao would have knocked Thurman out.

Eh, maybe. Thurman seems like the kind of guy that any powerful aggressive elite can drop, but it would take a lot to actually keep him down IMO. JMM type.

Yes, it was a good fight, I'd turn down the commentary though. Joe Goossen, Lennox Lewis were pretty awful.

I had it 115-112 for PAC, but had Thurman not been knocked down in the first round, Thurman wins and we get a draw on the cards.. it was a great fight, and Thurman showed why he was regarded by many as the number 1 guy in the division. He made the adjustments needed and stood in front of PAC, and threw down. The rematch needs to happen before the end of the year!

it went from what would have been 10-9 to 10-8 the other way. a tie round 1 point swing pac 10-9 two point swing 10-8 3 point swing.

Top, top , TOP quality fight.

I expected Pacman to look old but still sting Thurman with enough good straight lefts to make "RunTime" get on his bike.... leaving the judges with no choice but to simply invent a winner.

Thankfully I was wrong on all accounts.

Do we need a rematch? No. However, I feel like we'll get one next...or right after a Danny Garcia fight.

I thought round 3 and 10 were Pac rounds.

Yeah I wasn't really sure about round 3, I was gonna give it to Pac at first but think I got a bit biased on that one, thats why I put ? mark. Cant really remember 10, will have to rewatch it.
