Then we have the mike lee fight where he gets hit on his high guard and he flops around the ring. Seems like they're trying to build this white dude from Tennessee up. Just my opinion.
You can't even bother to copy paste their names, and we are to take you seriously? Jose was getting countered and licked the canvas twice. Go to a gym, spar someone way better and see how eager you are to let your hands go. And the Subway dude just wasn't on that level.
Mike Lee was a bum. I called him out at the Home Depot 10 years ago. The guy literally fought nobody and got a title shot. He has limited skill. What did you expect?
Caleb Plant is a working class white American guy from Tennessee. But seems to be obviously and heavily influenced by black American culture. Seems to be a decent guy.
By that logic, Rigondeaux should have been a PPV attraction. Adrien Broner is still one of PBC's top 5 guys in terms of popularity. Yet he is FAR from any P4P lists. Skills does not equal marketability. Charisma, physical looks and the likes are what make for marketability.
This for sure. He was in so far over his head it was hard to watch. Lee didn't want anymore. That fight never should have been made, it was an embarrassing mismatch.
If you have zero skills marketing only goes so far. Mike went as far as he could go. Amateurs at my gym could outbox him.
