Were you being facetious? I wasn't sure and still...aren't...sure. When do you think Mike cherry picked? Also, he mandated to King to face Holyfield in 1991. Do you not agree?
No. But Seldon beats Foreman in 1995. A lot of heavyweights do. Also, I do not think Seldon is the worst heavyweight of all time. He'd give some guys like Chris Byrd, Hasim Rahman, John Ruiz and the like some trouble. Charles Martin is the worst heavyweight champ of all time.
Is Seldon worse than Axel Schulz? I don't think so. In fact, Schulz is on Joe Hipp's level and Seldon turned Hipp's face into hamburger.
Post prison Tyson or rather his management became more cautious.Ruddock was probably the biggest risk.I noted at the time Mercer was not mentioned Ray was a hot and cold fighter but would be red hot for Tyson ! Ray was a nutter and as hard as nails would of been incredible. Pity it never happened
Durable means he's better? In that case Oliver McCall is the best fighter of all time. Because? Schulz fought Old Foreman, Franz Botha and Michael Moorer, losing all 3. Bruce Seldon fought McCall, Bowe, Tubbs, Tucker, Hipp and Tyson. Seldon has the far better resume and accomplished more. I'd also pick Seldon to beat Schulz head to head. Not only do you hate Tyson, you hate everyone he beat.
I had Schulz beating Foreman and Botha. Seldon was knocked out by McCall and crumbled pathetically against Bowe and Tyson in 1 round and was outboxed clearly by a past it Tubbs. That leaves a decrepit version of Tucker, and Joe Hipp. No, I can name about 15 fighters Tyson beat who were better than Axel Schulz. Bruce Seldon isn't one of them. Schulz was mediocre but he was slightly better than Seldon, all things considered.
