You must be missing the plot. A year ago the fight was offered to Loma and he said no thanks to put it plainly. Now before you start moaning about the weight class difference there would obviously be a catch weight or some compromise for the weight difference if Loma and his Pops would have taken the fight. Dimension wise they are very close to each other. This thread isn't about whether Loma should fight at 147 which is obviously ridiculous. It's about the fact that Loma and his Pops made a ton of excuses why they didn't want the fight. And now this old ass man Pac just beat a top 4 welter whose actually much bigger than Pac. It's ironic really.

If Wilder offered Beterbeiv to a fight at a catch-weight of 199lbs and Beterbeiv said no he'd prefer to stay in his own division, he wouldn't be ducking he'd be staying in his own division

It's not so much that he didn't want the fight or a catchweight. It's the BS that he spouts about it that irks me. The more Loma talks the conceited he is and delusional. Hell unique fights are a part of boxing. Just look at Pac's history. And Loma says he wants to go down as the best ever in boxing. Not with that lame ass attitude and those excuses in my book.
