Apart from having what would be one of the best names for a fight card ever - see the title, puns I've got them - does this fight not make sense for both parties?

Price coming off a decent win in which he actually fought past round 6 will no doubt be looking for another payday against a name opponent and Whyte will be looking for a relatively low risk fight against a name to stay busy whilst awaiting his long overdue shot at the WBC crown.

Thoughts on this as a fight around Christmas with likely outcome?

If Price would like to be on the receiving end of one last violent KO, sure.

Yeah seems like a pretty logical fight to make.

It's a good cash out fight for Price and Whyte can prepare himself to deal with a taller opponent. Makes total sense as I thought of it earlier today.

Last? If the last 6 stoppages didn't discourage price what makes you think this will

Yeah I am predicting this fight to be next for both guys. Maybe it could be the chief support bout if the AJ Ruiz fight is in the UK in December.

Price is capable of getting a stoppage but probably not a points win.

    Price KO'd AJ

    AJ KO'd Whyte

    Price beat Tyson Fury

Fury would toy with Whyte. Too slick, too gypsy

Price sparked out Audley, Whyte is a poor man's orthodox version of Audley minus the silky skills

Price also sparked out Glowacki and TKO'd the #1 ranked SHW in the world at the time Islam Timurziev who would've punched holes in Whyte with those anvil fists of his

Price stopped the best ever version of Dave Allen to ever step foot in a ring, Whyte laboured to a decision win over the worst ever version of Allen who trained down the fish & chips shop back then

Price has sparked out 2 Olympic gold medalists, beaten 2 three-belt unified world champions who were/are the best HWs of their generation

I very much doubt Whyte would be able to take a flush David Price 5.0 right hand. Granted some feel Price's punch resistance is a tab questionable but Price would be the hardest puncher Whyte has ever fought and I see Dillian taking a long snooze as soon as Price detonate's one of his bombs on his chin

Pricey looked damn great in the Allen fight. Sick handspeed, a very solid & tight defence and good footwork. Also one of his biggest flaws, his terrible gas tank, looked much improved. Whyte would have big disadvantage in reach and height and if Pricey lands of those huge right bombs or uppercuts, i think lights out for Dillian.

    Price KO !!!

Lets calm down a bit, he kept Dave Allen at the end of his jab and fought a relatively low output safe fight. Price will not be able to do that against Whyte. If Price doesn't mind getting Ko'd (which clearly he doesn't) then he should take the fight for his biggest available payday. If he wants success and a chance to build he should stay right at the Allen level.

Price is back with a bang.

Price 5.0 is a new terminator, with insane stamina, insane technique, and the defensive skills of a prime Ali.

It is going to be painful night for whoever is stupid enough to step in the ring with him. Just ask Dave.

The top contenders will be lulled into a false sense of security based on watching the Kuzmin, Teper, Povetkin, Hammer and Thompson fights. It is the perfect storm for "THE NEW HEAVYWEIGHT...CHAMPION...OF THE WORLD"

Price is still severely under estimated, and that is going to create the perfect storm
