I'm still coming down off the hype of lasts weekends fight between pac and Thurman

I read up on that pac has always been open to fighting loma at 140
Loma has denied this fight saying pac is old and not worth it . But just a saw how good pac still is
What I liked seeing during the fight wasnt so much the speed and power of pac . It was the IQ the way he use using angles to time Thurman was amazing.

Pac has all time great ring IQ a very rare IQ that only all time greats possess

Loma has one of the highest if not the highest p4p highest IQ skills of this generation

loma said he would not go to 140 as he feels those guys are too big but pac isnt as big as those guys

This fight makes absolute sense in every way for both fighters

Loma would get full credit if he were to defeat pac who's still proven and elite

Loma would get credit for moving up in weight

Fighting and defeating an all time great

    Great pay day profile boost

Winning another title in another division

    The rewards outweigh the risks
I would normally favor pac to beat loma

But this fight would challenge lomas IQ like no other

This Is one hell of a challenge

    Battle of

This generations highest IQ and skills p4p champ vs

All time Great IQ 8 division champ manny Pacquiao

We always fantasize and make threads about how modern fighters would do against past atgs well this is a fight like that. Modern p4p fighter vs atg

Pac is all for this fight happening I know he would cross over into top rank to make this fight.
    I'm uncertain of loma

This would be lomas chance to have his

    Speed

    Skill

    Ring IQ

    Counter punching

    Footwork

    And most importantly

    Will

    All of it tested .

i just dont see lomas power doing much more than annoying pac. thurman can bang, even for a welter, and manny was eating his shots and spitting out the pit. and loma catching one of those straight lefts from pac would be all kinds of problematic.

This. I don't see how people even debate this. Linares made Loma look small in the ring so Manny would dwarf him. One of Mannys calves is bigger than Lomas head lol!

Loma would win a competitive but clear UD. People are STILL typing bull**** making it sound like Loma is feather fisted or something. Lol SMH. He’d keep Pac real honest after a few laser right hooks and that bodywork. Pac ain’t walking through **** in that fight.

And when was the last time Pac fought someone with Loma’s reflexes and defense??

Loma doesn't need the power of a Thurman.

He's more accurate and can generate a lot more volume, and certainly do more than annoy Pac.

His problem would be on the receiving end. I don't think Loma would react well to a big shot from Pac.

If it goes the distance, its a 50-50.

My own pick would be Pac by stoppage somewhere in the mid to late rounds.

I used to think Pac would run over Loma but after seeing his stamina issues and lack of legs after 6, he would be a sitting duck for a very precised boxer like Loma.

The way Loma fights coming from all angles, he may very well do to Pac what Pac did to odlh. The younger fresher smaller guy embarrassing an old legend.

I have to agree with you there as far as stamina goes. Pac's body isn't getting any younger and at some point if they do end up facing each other Pac would be facing someone with much better engine, quicker feet, hands, angles and movement that will make it a long night for him. Although I do think that Pac's chin, power, unorthodox style, angles and aggression can still hang with Loma, I see Loma outworking Pac. Unless Pac is able to hurt Loma, which is possible.

You really can't doubt Pac at this point though. Every upcoming fight with Pac is a 50/50. That's just how great Pac is.

Loma needs to take this fight. It would be like when Pac beat DLH, the passing of the torch. It doesn’t mean as much beating this version of Pac, so what. It would be something for the history books, and look how many people think Pac can actually win. Arum and Loma need to try and make this fight ASAP after the Campbell fight (which I view as a tougher fight than Pac).

Would love to see this fight although Pac will probably lose a UD just off stamina.

At 140 Loma would most likely stop PAC, since cutting off the extra weight at 40 years old would be too much for PAC. PAC would be lucky to have 4-5 rounds of fight in him at 140 and Loma knows it, which is why he declined the fight, since he wouldn’t get much credit for weight draining an old fighter.

Loma would only receive credit if he beat PAC at 147, which isn’t a weight class Loma is interested in moving to at the moment, so I doubt this fight ever happens.

You guys presume that Pacquiao can make 140lbs. He and Freddie say they can and would.....but the fact is he hasn't fought below 147lbs in OVER ten years. If he could have, he would have.

Loma's made it very clear that he's never going to 140bs. He's going back down to 130lbs as soon as he's exhausted all his options at lightweight.

I think Loma scores a 120-108 type decision over a depleted Pac at 135lbs. Think Pac ice's Loma inside 6rds at 147lbs. These are the only scenarios that exist.

I disagree, without sufficient pop in his punches, pac will just trade anytime Loma gets close. Pac just darting in when ever he feels like it, till he catches him.

I think Manny stops him...if it goes to the cards Loma wins, but I don't think it would get there.
