The one thing needs to be stated here is that Mike Tyson had already done alot in a short time. My opinion Tyson lost interest/didn't want to fight anymore after Douglas. So I'm defending him in that it may look like he was ducking Foreman specifically but I think he was just sick of it. There's always gonna be somebody that wants to kick your ass.

Sure Moorer was favoured to beat George right after he lost to morrison. That's why it was an upset. When you look at that top ten, had Foreman been in it, there wasnt that many safe fights for Moorer for his first defence. They went outside the 10 to get George as a defence and still got him beat. Moorer proved to be a weak champ.

Seriously? You want me to name 4-5 who would be FAVOURITE beat George from a top ten whilst he was active during his comeback?

Nobody would be betting on Foremans legacy when he fought a contender. No. They only bet on what he showed against the best level guys he fought in his comeback.

The best level guys comeback george fought were Holyfield, Morrison, Stewart, Schultz, Saverese and Moorer. George was 1-4 agsinst those guys 99 times out of 100. That is the kind of ratio that is applied for deciding matters on other fighters when it comes to hard cash. Nostalgia wouldnt come into it.

I know Foreman himself never would condider Golata, Grant, Bruno, Mccall, Tucker, carl Williams, Tony Tubbs, Larry Holmes, bonecrusher, Tim Witherspoon, Mercer, Mike Williams, Buster Douglas, Riddick Bowe and Lennox Lewis. He instead targeted smaller guys like Tyson, holyfield, Moorer, Morrison and Stewart and still came unstuck.

But take your pick amoung the kinds of guys he would not fight. There is a good chance much of them would beat him if George did not favour his own chances. There are more than 5 to chose from and I imagine a number of them were always within the ranks when George was active.

Eventually there was another post fight interview, where he´d also mention fighting Foreman. Not sure though.

Sounds to me like a very not-serious interview overall. Joking about someone you're scared of (or imagining him in a tu tu) can be a great way to feel less scared.

Every time I see Mike mention George, or get asked about him, his eyes take on a certain cast that doesn't pop up in other interviews. Could mean nothing.

    Tyson would beat him
    Douglas would beqt him
    Ruddock would beat him
    Holmes would beat him
    Bowe would beat him
    Lewis would beat him
    Tucker would beat him
    Mercer would beat him

And of them he only has a punchers chance with Lewis and Tucker.

Thats not including morrison, Holyfield Stewart and schulz who he did fight who did beat him.

I would give Bruno, witherspoon, bonecrusher, Tubbs, Botha, Akinwande, nielsen, Golota and grant a 50-50 shot of beating Foreman too. Maybe even Moorer in a rematch and Jeremy Williams.

Yes, definitely not at any other time. Tyson had been in jail for 2 1/2 years at that point so he was certainly a non player at that point in time.

It was Moore's 1st title defense. You're acting like its a common occurance for a champion to immediately defend their title against the most skilled, highest rank guy guy available.

I am talking about when he beat Moorer and was rated Ring's #1.

Douglas had been retired for 4 years and weighed about 724 pounds. Tyson was in jail. Ruddock was taken out by Morrison in his first fight after Foreman beat Moorer and Foreman would be a very good chance of beating him. Holmes maybe but he's sure no certainty. Bowe very likely. Lewis was stopped 2 months prior so he could well not be ready at this point. Tucker was about to hit a 3 fight losing streak so nah for me. Mercer mayyyyybe but no certainty that's for sure. Not at all. Morrison had been beaten since his match with Foreman and may not have beaten him again. Holyfield would be in between his loss to Moorer and Bowe but one would back him tho it was a bad time for him. I wouldn't say Stewart beats him at this time and that freak swelling is not happening twice. I don't recall Schulz beating him ;)

I would hate to put my life on 5 people absolutely beating him at this time. I'd be nervous.
