Yeah, for sure, there's something you're missing,....look again, a bit more carefully.

I'm betting that he hasn't a clue,....but there's been plenty of time for him to seek shelter in Boxrec.

I have more Boxing knowledge than you though. You don't understand what you are watching because you have never boxed.

Ray Arcel and Gil Clancy knew a thing or two about boxing.

This would be a chess match in the truest sense. I can see the Body Snatcher giving London trouble with his defense and smart counterpunching. I think his style could frustrate Monzon. Conversely I think Monzon's trombone jab could keep Mike off balance...just enough for a narrow points win.

Tough to call on this one.....majority draw, with odd card to Monzon by 2 pts.

Just calling it how It see it. He looks slow and mechanical in there. But he gets the job done and his track record is quite impressive.
Maybe he would beat Mc Callum by close decision.

He looks slow until he needed to be quick. Monzon threw his right in different ways. He often purposely looped it landing on the side of the head area. You don't land a punch like that as often as he did if he was " slow". And " mechanical " meaning be masterful at measuring the distance, and remaining focused and relaxed from bell to bell? This was an asset for Monzon , not a liability … Anyway, we see it differently, all good , cheers mate

Okay, but he's not outspeeding Mike is more the point.

Further, he's certainly not stopping Mike, when Mike faced better punchers and wasn't stopped. This goes back to the overrating of Monzon that I've talked about before. I've see like 6 people say stopping Mike is a distinct possibility... that's silly imo

I see a competitive tough fight that could go either way. The biggest reason Mike has a good chance is because of Monzon's rigidness and the pattern to his offensive gameplan. Mike was an expert at counterpunching and finding opening. Monzon isn't some awkward unconventional guy. He's very conventional and it works for him. However, that is exactly the type of fighter that Mike would pick up patterns and tendencies on and exploit them with his counterpunching.
