Hearn should be banned from promoting shows. He knowingly put a fighters life even more in danger.

These testing agencies are all over the place. VADA would have reported the failed test to the Rivas camp and the WBC prior to the fight. UKAD caught it but weren't bound to inform the other side, yet they informed our Board of Control and it went ahead anyway.

If this is true and Hearn was aware then big trouble could be ahead.

Hearn ain't in trouble because the board allowed the fight to go ahead, knowing he'd tested positive.

The question here is; what made the board allow a fighter who'd tested positive for a banned substance to fight? One can only assume they've made a nice few bob out of the fight.

I doubt there was any option. He's the headliner and there's no chance of anyone filling it at such a late date. They let the night happen and deal with the fallout.

The boards protocol says no breach has been committed until due process has been completed. That means they wait for the B sample. Where the protocol needs changing is that the A sample failure should still mean the opposition is notified and they then have a choice whether they want to go ahead with the fight.

Yes, agree with that 100%. Mental to think Rivas' team weren't informed. Heavyweight boxing - lives on the line.

By trouble I wasn’t really limiting it to potential legal issues. IF this is true, Eddie/Matchroom’s and to a certain extent Sky’s reputation will be in the gutter.

How does Eddie explain this...especially after the Miller stuff and everything that he has rightly sad about drug issues being rife in the sport.

He will get absolutely torn apart from the rival promoters (Jesus can you imagine what Warren will have to say) fans, fighters...this is a major problem, but for the sake of British boxing let’s just hope this isn’t as bad as it sounds....

Also will it cause problems with getting Ruiz to agree to come here...Haymon could say “**** it Sue us” then what happens..

And if the board have seemingly turned a blind eye, then I don’t know what to say.
