Yes. The scene report says so.

    The last paragraph is key.

So we just had a fighter die here in the States and Hearn and UKAD let their fight go on knowing one combatant is dope?

    Terrible look for boxing.

Surely Whyte though would proclaim innocence and there is nothing stopping the fight going ahead as he hasn't broken any rules.

I agree that that Whyte is fine to claim innocence until his judgement is final however its ridiculous that protocol doesn't say the opposing fighter has to be notified.

So it was BS? Whyte should sue that publication if so.

I wonder whether Bazza Hearn was fully aware what was going on...I don’t believe for a second that he wouldn’t have pulled the plug immediately instead of risking Matchroom reputation..Fcuking hell this thing could potentially be a bomb.

That doesn't quite deny a sample was found to be adverse. We already know the board cleared the fight.

I fail to believe the scene would have ran a story without the correct sources. It would be a legal disaster for them.

"Cleared to fight" does not mean he didn't fail a test.

So excuse my naivety when in comes to drug testing protocol. What does adverse finding but clear by the boards mean?

This was the same thing as Fury wasnt it?

Yeah, it’s shifting the blame to the board and the testing agencies. Politicians answer.

    This is bonkers if true.

Hearn’s reputation could be in tatters over this. Let’s see what emerges tomorrow.

They'll spin it, or try to. Whyte may be banned but it'll be half forgotten and Hearn and his ilk will carry on.

We need more details. Firstly the substance he was popped for and secondly the the reason he was cleared. Does adverse mean a banned substance or does it mean the hormone levels were found to be slightly over a the legal limit?
