Some people like myself, @305th and @NasalSpray have pointed this out before but Hearn is very careful with his words when it comes to drug testing.

He always says that "Joshua will never fail a drugs test". He never outright proclaims that Joshua has never used drugs. It's always "he will never a fail a test" which indicates that he has some sort of influence over the doping agencies. That assumption is now verified by the fact that he was told of this violation before the fight yet let the fight go ahead. What an insanely idiotic hypocrite after all he said about Jarrell Miller, Canelo and Saunders. I bet they tried to completely bury this altogether. Just like Matchoom have buried all of the Joshua TUE for testosterone allegations.

I've been telling everyone here for years now that Hearn is a crook and a charlatan of a promoter and I get slated for bias. He's literally just put his fighter in there with Rivas knowing that there has been an adverse doping finding because all he cares about is his money and having some more dough in the bank for his kids. He's just made an IFL interview on Monday where he has expressed faux outrage over the lack of medical equipment for fighters on fight night in the aftermath of Dadashev's death. Yet he has allowed a fighter with an adverse drug finding to get in there with a fighter who has a serious eye issue and probably shouldn't be fighting anyway. @Puroresu_Fan, I don't care what the protocols are around adverse findings, any promoter with a shred of integrity and concern for the welfare of fighters would have pulled the plug. But what do people expect from the silver spooned wanker son of a man who proudly boasts that boxers were like "slaves" when he promoted them?

I think waiting for the second sample is actually good practice. It stops the lynch mob mentality, after all everyone here is already ready to condemn the guy based on an as yet unconfirmed report. A man's career and reputation is at stake, so a delay in order to get all the ducks in order isn't a bad thing. Unless of course any undue influence is then brought to bear. That's the biggest worry when there's a high profile figure involved.

I do think informing the opponent so they can make a decision pre the fight is something they should think about though. Maybe under an NDA? Not an easy one to administer, especially if the decline the fight and the B sample is then negative.

The funniest thing in that BoxScene report was that WBC were apparently going to make Wilder a 'Franchise Champion' so he didn't have to fight the mandatory anyway. You couldn't make it up....

A bloke knowingly failed in the headliner.

And an area level fighter in the co main.

Good value for a score that.

I’m sure after the Miller failure we were told that 99% of B samples tested same as the A sample. I don’t see how it suddenly changes.

Doesn't matter. The process is there for a reason, it needs to be followed. Look at what happened with Charr...

Even if the B sample comes back clean etc, I think the real issue here is that is *sounds* as if Rivas' team were not informed, which i think is still within BBBoC rules (perhaps someone can correct me if not?). Which seriously needs addressing if so.

Assuming both tests are a fail. Whyte will receive a 15 minute ban from boxing. So he will be back by early 2020.

Where does his PPV market stand?

Even if it turns out that the B sample exonerates Whyte and it turns out he has done nothing wrong, can you guys see the real issue?

The real issue is that Hearn knew about the adverse finding but let the show go on without informing Rivas. That’s next level crook behaviour.

The same place as Miller’s. Lining up to get a shot at fury or someone else.
